It is rumored that Ross Apo (WR) will decommit from Texas and commit at the same time as Jake tomorrow with a third (probably Zac Stout, LB) commitment. That would give BYU quite a bit of momentum going into Junior day on friday.

I graduated from Skyline in 08, no real relationship to Jake but I knew him through friends and I've been a fan/follower for a while, before the actual recruiting hype began

I'm pretty sure Kasen and his family have been one of the home town influences saying good things about UW to Jake. If Jake commits to UW, Kasen might as well be signing with him. If he goes elsewhere, that school might still have a bit of work to do to get Kasen, but Jake will probably get him.

He's also silently committed to UW, BYU, Cal, and LSU. Anyone can make an account on each recruiting board and say he's a silent commit...then whichever board had the right school when he commits, go there and you're awesome!! Think of a better story next time, nobody on earth would pester...

Mel Kiper has him as the #1 player in the 2010 draft already.

That list applies to almost every school that has given him an offer. He also goes to as many UW practices that he has time for, and he has BYU's entire offensive playbook memorized and probably a few others as well.

I'd say its UT and UW at the top, BYU and Cal a little behind. At this point if LSU really does anything it would be a huge suprise, even the LSU fans think they have no shot.

Miami just offered to make it 25. They might talk a bit, but they pretty much have 0 chance of changing his top 5.
