If we win the next 6 games we will ironically have the same conference record as last season. Much more positive aura about this team however.

I recorded tonight’s game. Very surprised at it being this close. I will be looking for whether we played down to the competition’s level. Or did Memphis get up for an in-state lil sister big sister game.

We may be sub .500 this season. Why would a recruit come here to a coach whose teams CONSISTENTLY underperforms??

Watch the game at a sports bar in Pennsylvania and it was amazing how much confidence their fans had at the beginning of the game. We just don't scare anyone as a program anymore.

Why should he get an opportunity over a deserving assistant coaching position candidate who doesn't have this colossal f*** up on his resume? He was not the most qualified for the La Tech in the 1st place. I sort of knew that this would not end well. Didn't expect this train wreck ending.

We have a coach. Now that I've said that, Kara would make a great coach. While she's young for a job like UT, she's found her voice over the years and many young recruits know her face and voice so she could be effective.

We can do better. Kellie had her shot and then some and was not effective at all. Not in recruiting and not with her players' execution. There will be a 2 dozen "up & comers" that have great rack records that would be interested in this job. Also, I wouldn't be stuck solely at looking for alums...

Really, the new assistant(s) should be recruiters. When Kim Mulkey saw slippage in the classes after Griner and Odyssey Sims (no top 100 for consecutive yrs) she got two new assistants in 2013. Since that move Baylor has had 2 excellent recruiting classes (Kalana Brown & Mompremier and in '16...

Or we start losing the best recruits for a class or two.

If (big "if") the University went this route they'd better do it before the Program goes on a notable and pronounced slide b/c at that point the momentum from losses, decreased ability to get top recruits will make this a slightly less desirable job in the eyes of the top tier coaches.

We got some work to do. That is obvious. I am thankful for Diamond Deshields. If she had not decided to transfer here then the team definitely would be a notch below talent-wise of the other top 5 programs.

True ... but you can still see the penchant for playmaking in her. We have a LOT of room to grow. Diamond will get better and the team must get better. We have a ceiling of the Final 8 maybe 4 right now. No way we are a title contender but we have the personnel to develop into a title contender.

History has shown the later you are in the order of a recruit's visits, the better. We are Tennessee though! Hopefully the South Carolina add is just Tori doing due diligence.
