That sounds unlikely... I'd say its more probably that if Fulmer got the job that a 7-5 Dooley would get 5 more years than he deserved. The man did not like to let go of friends, and he makes them easily.
Tennessee generally hasn't stayed in the gutter for long... we'll be back in the hunt so long as the we don't pull a Minnesota and end up with an admin that abandons the sport. Yeah, the historical stuff doesn't mean much when you are down... but it certainly helps to be a top historical...
Hopefully not much of anything... if he's accomplished anything like a new hire in a major sport then we apparently whiffed on either Dooley, Martin, or the new baseball coach.
I suppose he could try and make our marketing quit being so embarrassing.
I don't think who we hire will make a huge difference one way or the other unless we literally go out there and hire Trig Palin.
But damn, you guys would make seeing Fulmer made AD and the Emperor for Life of Tennessee almost worth it.
Nobody is failing to understand that... what they are arguing is that ultimately the players are the ones responsible for getting their education. We had grad rates below 30% at times under some guys with college degrees, so I'm not very convinced that the educational background of a coach has...
Wait, I've got it...
Oregon kicks a FG... 31-28
Tennessee throws an INT, Oregon player runs it out of the endzone... is hit by a Tennessee player, fumbles and the ball rolls out the back of the endzone. Safety! 31-30
Monte Kiffin is an excellent coach, and anyone who won't say it is either incredibly dumb... or in some self protective form of denial(eg: if Kiffin sucked, then our defense might be better this year).
Justin Wilcox is also an excellent coach, so there is no need to get so worked up.
