Brohm has not said no. Just wants the original terms honored.

Keep 'em handy. "Yes" OR "No" would be good reason to take one.

Lane Kiffin will be leaked as coach tomorrow

...and if he plays you like Gundy it will suck a lot worse for VolNation. Could you even imagine thinking - a year or 2 ago - that you might be begging Lane to come back just to give him the opportunity to give you the finger...again?? Man, don't go there! That would be total devastation.

Oklahoma State message boards! What their fans are saying right now!

FWIW, UF just released Mullen's contract details for your info and comparison: Mullen’s contract is worth $36.6 million dollars over six years. In addition to a base yearly salary of $3 million Mullen will receive a an annual sum of $1.75 million paid bi-weekly for media and public...

Oklahoma State message boards! What their fans are saying right now!

Of course! Gundy would be crazy to turn that crazy money down ($8.4 million LOL). The agents of Jimbo Fisher, Scott Frost, Kevin Sumlin, Matt Campbell, Mike Norvell, Brent Venables, Jeremy Pruitt, and Kevin Steele (among many others) are routing for ya to raise that bar, baby!!

Financial fallout from Schiano, UT could owe buyout

Right. There can be no "buyout" regarding an MOU. Probably some "negotiation" to avert a full-blown lawsuit, but Schiano wants no part of keeping this as a headline IMO. Just posted on SI: LEGAL AND REPUTATIONAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR SCHIANO It is very possible, if not likely, that...

Gators may finish worse than us

Well you lost the Vandy game. Guess we had the better season. Am I supposed to feel any better?? :puke5:

McElWain canned for cause, can we use the same "cause?"

That's EXACTLY why he will settle for less. FALSELY accusing your fan base of threatening to kill you & your family absolutely satisfies something in most any contract as to "cause", whether it be "moral turpitude", "deceit", or any such boilerplate "cause" language. Mac doesn't necessarily lose...

Today is going to be a great day!

Yes, the concern is real about the recruits for both UF and UT. Recruits don't like "unknowns", especially TWO unknowns (if and when will HC be fired, and who is next HC). UF has removed ONE of those. IMO, UT needs to do same because of the early decision this year as Chad F points out.

McElWain canned for cause, can we use the same "cause?"

No worries about Strickland and next new hire because Mac lost his mind. And what Mac said was not "no big deal" either. Claiming false threats on yourself & family and falsely insinuating your fanbase is comprised of homicidal maniacs and child killers isn't something any AD would "let go"...

McElWain canned for cause, can we use the same "cause?"

Exactly! In fact I believe that has already been pretty much agreed to. Mac doesn't need a messy "termination for cause" fight going on as part as his resume for another coaching hire. We got real lucky when Mac put that microphone in his mouth!

McElWain canned for cause, can we use the same "cause?"

It will be negotiated to about 50% of buyout IMO. This article pretty much sums it up. Mac and his agent surely understand the challenges of getting him a new job if he is involved in a messy legal process over his termination in his old one - and they will want that baggage cut away ASAP...

Unbelievable the trigger hasn’t been pulled.

I agree completely about UF Offense (or lack thereof) could/should point to Mullen. But that won't happen IMO - not because of the somewhat "frosty" Mullen/Foley history but mostly because Mac was hired because of his offensive "expertise" and his previous tenure as OC at Alabama (and offensive...

Unbelievable the trigger hasn’t been pulled.

I'm not so sure.... AD Strickland said today: 1.) We won't (can't) talk to any active coaches until end of Regular Season (but not Bowl Season). 2.) It would be "good" to have a coach in place by Early Signing Day on December 20th to keep a good recruiting class intact (if not even...
