    I have to disagree with your assessment. Johnny had two young freshman db’s that he contemplated starting in front of his starters that weren’t getting it done. Those two freshman were Carl Pickens and JJ McKlesky. Bama passes all over us.

    Old Hickory was tough as well. We had a pretty good rivalry back in the day.

    Yes, we were the fourth winningest team in West Tennessee from 74-91, then the kids in the class of 93’ decided football wasn’t cool anymore. The kids that would have been juniors that year had beaten Dyersburg, Covington, and Brownsville their freshman season.

    Halls, Tennessee is where I grew up. The thing that makes it so bad is that it is perennially one of the largest 1A schools in the state. Last Friday night Halls (with an enrollment of around 370) lost to Gleason High School (130).

    It’s pretty hard to win at the line of scrimmage when you are only running right into the box, while your opponent is stretching the field with their running game. It’s especially hard on the road.

    We are getting very little pressure regardless of what we do. Perhaps the freshman need more snaps at end? You never sit young talent over experience with no talent.
