That’s not unheard of. Kim Mulkey won a title in her second year at LSU in 2023. Carolyn Peck lead Purdue to a title in her second year as head coach in 1999 after being with the program as an assistant under Nell Fortner for a year.

Oklahoma is often left off these lists when they beat us last season and only getting better. I think Ole Miss will challenge us too.

Civil seems most likely from that trio based on her length, athleticism and passing ability. Seems like she would have a positive impact on defense and offense w/o taking a bunch of shots. My concern is her being a liability from 3. It’s early but seems like she will be next season’s Boyd.

Yayyyyy!!!! I’ve wanted her to be a Vol since her freshman year at Arkansas when she routinely stepped out and shot the 3. Key had a tough time defending her. Her game is perfect for our system.

That’s why I watch games because numbers don’t tell the full story. Darby would get open corner looks but many of Spear’s shots were contested. She would be covered and they would leave players like Spearman, Boyd and Latham open.

The issue last season was our shooters (Spear, Darby) struggled to get open due to lack of foot speed & our system. So I wonder what’s the use of having a not-so-fast great shooter if our system doesn’t allow them to get shots?

How much are they paying you? We all know you’re on staff to combat any negative PR the team receives but you post too much. Do you get paid by the word or paragraph?

The system requires SPEED. That’s what held us back. So I hope all the portal pickups are quick since Kim wants to score 97 points a game. We have to overwhelm the opponent like an army of fire ants.

My stomach turned. Mulkey knows exactly what to do with her skill set. I seriously don’t like this for us!
