Will someone tell me what the logic is playing our 2nd baseman in shallow right field. Already cost an easy out tonight. Might cost more than that if they continue this absurdity. I know the gut was a pull hitter, but the only play the guy could make from that position is a shallow popup

Not so. A starter is a atarterward based on he totality of his performance, not his performance for the last week. Apparently you've never played competitive sports

Pruitt philosophy is to play womever he thinks practiced the best the previous week. Stupid. Some guys are gamers and do not always practice well. Up to the coaches to find those guys

They do not routinely change their starting offensive linemen every game. Only when needed. Ask any one who has played offensive line in college.

Which is why each guy needs to learn his position well and know how to gel and work as a unit with the guy next to him

Anybody Else Frustrated With Offensive Tendencies on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down??

Agreed. Also frustrated that our coaches are using Derek Dooley s guaranteed recipe for failure by "building depth" with the idiotic concept of having all offensive linemen "learn" every offensie line position. Cannot work as a unit that way.

The mistake Tennessee is making is the same one Derek Dooley made... trying to train offensive linemen to play all positions on the offensive line. PrI it says he is "building depth" with this approach. Any guy that has played college offensive line will tell you that every position is vastly...
