We are likely going to have to pay way more than Ohio State to get Hiter, just like we probably did with Sanders, etc., and that is one of our biggest problems right now. If Huepel would hire a GM and quit just promoting GA’s on the offensive side and hire the best available position coaches...

Maybe 3 schools are paying significantly higher than others, everyone else is at least in the same ballpark. Another thing to consider is that if you have great recruiters on staff that put tons of guys in the league, you may not have to pay quite as much to get the blue chippers on your roster.

I think Huepel is an excellent X’s and O’s coach and excels at doing more with less, and I am okay with him just focusing on that. But he is 100% going to have to hire a GM and surround himself with better recruiters if we are going to take the next step.

I think Huepel is an excellent coach and excellent at doing more with less. Imagine how good it would be if we had talent at least on par with Ole Miss and LSU.
