North Greenville's Houser Named Conference Carolinas Baseball Players of the Week:
HIGH POINT, N.C. North Greenville University's David Houser was recognized as the Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week.
Houser, a senior from Columbia, S.C., was the catalyst behind North...
Looks like Serrano followed through - Heard that 6 players were kicked off the team yesterday for the rest of the season and that another one may have quit as a result of that action.
While the players were a little skeptical at first, they went all out with the costumes and probably even surprised themselves on how much they got into the spirit of things.
The players were all impressed with the fan turnout and in turn were motivated to put on a good show. They had a...
Went to the intersquad game yesterday - 9 innings in beautiful Tennessee mountain weather.
Few pitching thoughts:
- Only fastballs and changeups
- Threw strikes for the most part
- Drake and Serrano were among the consistent strike throwers and had some pop
- Cox did not pitch but we had...
The seams (really the stitching) are not getting fatter, they are actually going to be thinner causing the raised portion of the ball around the seams to be a few millimeters lower.
The impact to the flight distance should be about 10 - 15 feet farther on ball that went 300 feet with the...
I think we all need to recognize that the difference between 1-2 and 2-1 in the Auburn series was razor thin. One ball to the outfield in the 9th inning of game 1 (something we have been able to do consistently all year) or if the wind was blowing out like it was in game 3 for either of...
The UT / UGA Series will be an interesting one at that:
It will be in Athens
The first game will be ESPNU's National Game of the Week on Thursday
About half our projected starting lineup in the field will be from Georgia

Have been informed that @Vol_Baseball asst/recruiting coordinator Bill Mosiello is leaving to pursue another coaching opportunity #Vols #SEC
I guess my bad. Just thought that since all the posts in this thread were about the Conference Tournaments, that is what we were talking about. :Peace2:
It is widely known fact in Georgia that if you were to combine the facilities, $$$ and SEC competition from UGA and brought over the coaching staff / philosophies from Georgia Tech, you would have a top 10 team every year.
This talk about Vandy taking all of UT's in-state players is not really founded in fact. Look at Vandy's roster, only 1-2 position starters are from TN and only 1 weekend starting pitcher. UT needs to (and is) leverage CDS's connection in California - Similar to what Vandy has in the New...
I may be new to this board, but hope that the UT Baseball program grows to be a successful one.
Along with other things, here are 2 that make a program successful:
1. Coaches go and find the players that can hit and pitch. If they are from Tennessee great, if they are not, even better...
