Chapman and Bargo in particular and also just working on that final roster. I think he is giving it a day or two to settle. To release a statement that we are still looking at folks would be foolish. Of course he is always looking at people and baseball rosters are in constant fluidity.
I think he had to say this just to protect all of his current kids. Still a lot of movement could happen but out of respect he is taking the "we are done" message.
Also 2024 Vols had Billy, Nate, AJ Causey, Stamos.
He will next ask for examples of what he is arguing from before the portal became a real thing.
I also hope he doesn't look at the portal's impact upon football and basketball national championships.
LOL. Buffoonery of the highest order.
2023 LSU laughs in your face. Do they win without Paul Skenes and Tommy Tanks? Even with Crews and Morgan they do not make it out of Omaha alive without first year guys. Great teams are all created in their own unique ways.
Those guys did all they could to get us to Omaha. Other holes around them were the issue. Also we got the worst Super Regional draw possible for our team. Every other match-up would have been better for us (including LSU).
Dude lived his life and made a decision that didn't turn out perfect; but giving it one more run at the natty is something worth celebrating. Consequences of our decisions are often unknown but we must keep in view the intention of that decision.
I don't think this is a legitimate threat for most of our guys. They come for the culture and stay for the winning.
Even LSU's championship run last year was also about a great freshman class that grew into amazing juniors and they added two big pieces around it. Sort of like our run this...
Chase and Henry were different situations. Chase just had an amazing recovery to his year and helped guide us to Omaha and a massive win against Stanford. Everyone could see the fire he was playing with and the realization of his potential. It hurt because everyone knew what we were losing and...
This is what I would like to know too, but unfortunately I don't think many words are put into print regarding the lower rounds. I have watched plenty of High-A baseball (since my city has a team) and can say that I think most anyone on our roster could compete at that level for sure.
