Looks like a Johnson is tying himself (and the GOP) in one spot, an absolutist one. Seems like a mistake to me. Call 10/7 the absolute horror that it was, and that Israel is surely allowed to defend itself. But don't corner yourself that you can never, ever, say anything critical of that...

I agree that SOME slogans and violence of course are over the line. 100 percent agree. I'm just saying that it does not mean that EVERY sentiment expressed as to concern about the way things are evolving makes one antisemitic.

Extremes and absolutes are the enemy here. People need to slow down with the slogans, understand there are exceptions to their absolutes and alternative points of view which, if just rejected and ignored, fester into resentment and sometimes violence.
