I think the things that will determine the SEC championship worthiness of the Vols in the coming years are not those outside influences like other SEC coaching changes or other schools losing key players as much as the internal influences....stability of coaching positions...development, growth...

Someone earlier mentioned songs that you grew up with as now being labeled classics...which is bad enough....but you really feel old when the next step occurs and those classics have now turned into elevator music....and the sixty year old man standing in front of you humming to the Muzak tune...

I think the increase in depth and another year of experience for those on the floor this year certainly opens the door to be a better team...but the proof of that possibility will come in how they handle the big games...and even losses and the mindset and chemistry they have going down the...

Although this was a down year for the Gators...just like the Vols...it will not remain so. The high profile job will more than likely be filled by a worthy opponent meaning that the future probably looks better for the SEC East with both teams gaining strength and ability in the coming years.
