    Kippy Brown

Sylvester Croom at Miss. State was the first African American head coach in the SEC. Couldn't help but to love his confidence and personality. Kippy is refreshingly warm after the icebox we have been in. I don't see how recruits and their parents could help from being magnetized by a guy like...

Very impressed right now. Maybe I should have been beforehand? Regardless, I was indifferent about him at first, but he certainly is growing on me.

    Rock Chalk a 4.5 pt. Fav--down from 6

Sorry to those backing Kansas with your hard earned money.

    Rock Chalk a 4.5 pt. Fav--down from 6

This breakdown of the game seems to fit the example I gave in the initial post.

    Rock Chalk a 4.5 pt. Fav--down from 6

I suppose you also think the spread for the NC would have still been 4-5 if Colt McCoy was never going to play. I believe the line was appropriate for that game in the context of information known before kickoff. Your oddsmaking knowledge is lacking if you believe Vegas thought they were...

    Rock Chalk a 4.5 pt. Fav--down from 6

Apparently everyone else agrees. On some of the sites I look at, I'm seeing 90%+ of the money on Kansas. It is rare that you see that kind of discrepancy pair with the favorite actually covering. I think the spread and money movement certainly bodes well for us. The public bettor likely...

Will we ever have an elite program?

Agreed. Everything, to an extent, goes hand in hand. I think East Tennessee is still slowly recognizing UT's MBB legitimacy. To a number of people living here, it will always be football season year around. Others are just now catching the fever. I think that continued success will solve the...

Wow I am suprised about all the negative posters here.

Better phrased: I haven't been a posting member of this forum very long, I read threads often before actually registering. I agree, we all have an opinion. It's just a shame that both sides can't discuss them as sports fans instead of creating a UT BB civil war.

Wow I am suprised about all the negative posters here.

To me, this is the unfortunate truth. Nights that I get to watch UT play and then change channels during commercial to watch [insert elite team] play, I change it back to UT's game and think to myself at some point "Man you don't ever see [insert elite team] doing stuff like that". We all...

Wow I am suprised about all the negative posters here.

I haven't been part of this forum for very long, but it seems like those who express opinions against the staff are made out to be barbarians. Any type of suggestion to improve the offense, recruiting, or certain coaching decisions is made out to be a malicious attack against the team and...

Will we ever have an elite program?

Conditionally agree about importance of fan support, but I would not classify UT attendance as "poor". Attendance, among a myriad of other things, factor into recruiting elite players. However, fans at a game aren't going to raise season scoring averages or change team principles. The bottom...

    Negedu delivers the message

I applaud Eman for this. He would do anything to be out there competing under the lights. Hopefully his teammates will take this to heart and realize they have the rare opportunity not only to play college basketball, but also to become a special team. I'm sure other players are vocal and it...

Will we ever have an elite program?

Makes perfect sense to me. Championships = Elite Program I don't see anyone cutting down the nets in April for winning an attendance title. TBA sells out when elite programs are there.
