Interesting SEC doomsday article on USA Today.

Check out this article from USA TODAY: CFP strength of schedule broken promises could lead to unthinkable SEC doomsday scenario https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/sec/2025/11/20/sec-believes-cfp-isnt-using-agreed-upon-strength-of-schedule-metric-alabama-notre-dame-miami/87354995007/

    Interesting Stat

It's hard to understand how we went from a juggernaut last year to abysmal this year. Key injuries appear to be part of the issue but can't be the whole story. I don't think it would shock anyone to see staff changes at the end of the season.

    Arkansas PFF Grades

Every study I’ve seen showed no correlation between penalties and wins. I don’t think coaches get too worked up over aggressive effort penalties. Pre snap penalties and mental mistakes drive them crazy. Bama over the years has been frequently a highly penalized team.

    Arkansas PFF Grades

One might also argue that that the imbalance in penalties kept Arkansas in the game. IIRC at one point it was 10 to 0. All of our penalties may have been legit but it’s hard to believe ark played that clean. Penalties stalled several drives that would have stretched our lead. I also think you...

Any idea on the timeline for Rad Jackson?

(If it was a broken collarbone) - Having broken my collarbone and comparing to a friend that broke his the recovery can be vary wildly. My bone was not misaligned enough to require surgery so I healed pretty quickly but my friend required surgery and his was a slow process.

No bigger winner than Tennessee in week 1

I saw a game analysis on lsu/clemson and they showed an average qb release time barely over 2 seconds. They didn’t think they could block clemson’s dl so they schemed quick passing. I’m not sure clemsons dl is overrated. Maybe their coaching should have adapted better to lsu’s plan.

Is Nico the male Meagan Markle?

He was the QB on a team that went 10-2 and the playoffs. Sampson and the defense led the team from my viewpoint. He certainly had a few decent games.

Tennessee's first and second round match-ups

If the favorites win every game (won’t happen) we would have to beat these teams to win the natty. Wofford UCLA UK Houston Duke Auburn. Root for upsets.

Tennessee's first and second round match-ups

St John’s is on the other side of the bracket. We could only meet them in the finals.

1's and 2's second round matchups

1 seeds have some tough matchups in the second round. If the favorites win their first round here are the games and Kenpom ratings: 1 seeds Auburn 4 vs Louisville 23. This game is in Lexington which will be essentially a home game for Louisville Florida 2 vs UConn 35 Duke 1 vs MissSt 32...

Was Hoping A&M Would Win @ Miss St Cuz...

You’re probably right but will see what other teams do. Auburn and Duke are probably locks for 1 seeds. This leaves Houston FL Bama and TN fighting for the last two spots currently. Bama has the toughest schedule by far.

Predicting AP Top 5 as of Monday 2/10

I don't think we can shoot a lower percentage and beat Bama if we have 19 turnovers like we did yesterday. Our offensive efficiency is higher than expected given our shooting because we're good on the offensive glass (ranked 10th on Bart Torvik). 19 empty possessions would be an issue...

Predicting AP Top 5 as of Monday 2/10

AP voters tend to go with what you've done lately. You could argue that Auburn has an overall better resume with the 12 quad 1 wins vs 7 for bama (TN has 8) but its easy to see the voters will be split on this. Same for TN vs FL. TN has a better overall resume but a very impressive win by FL...
