    Fulmer overestimated his abilities when he got older. He didn't realize, you have to work harder not less and he couldn't understand why top prospects didn't just keep flocking to him like when he was younger and worked hard every day.

    Dooley and the coaches measured and weighed Patterson the next morning after he arrived. He was 6'4" and weighed 226 pounds. That 6'3" 205 stuff is from when he arrived at JUCO, he grew.

    Beattie Feathers also held the NFL record for YPC at 9.6. They let the record stand for 75 years, then they come up with this,"nobody can do that it must have been poor record keeping. Of course when they changed it there were only a couple of really old players alive and they protested it...

    Of course it's a big deal. Every other school in the SEC and beyond will use that against us. It's another thing our coaches have to overcome in recruiting.

    FSU and Miami are in talks with the Big 12. If that happens (and it looks like it might) then the SEC will probably pick up Va Tech and Clemson/UNC.

    Tyler Bray's QB attributes

    Physically Bray has the same build as our first opponent NC St' QB. They are the exact tall, slender, long armed OB that the pros like so much. Is their QB the equal to Bray? I don't thinks so but only the game will tell.

    We have done nothing to make sports writers think we should do any better than 5-7. Not new players and not new scheme, nothing could be enough to change their minds. But "wins" will. I believe this team is capable of a 7-5 regular season and a rare treat, a bowl win to end the season at 8-5...

    Spring depth chart

    We will be a very small 3/4 defense in the spring. We will also need the newcomers to play "lights out" this season.
