I saw where Tyler Baron is officially back in the portal

Who knows, I'm sure he has his reasons and maybe there are issues in the locker room of his causing or someone else. I don't know that any of us know and that Josh knows much more than we do and will offer if it works for the team.

    Big Orange Caravan

I would hit Atlanta long before Memphis. I'd hit Columbia and Lexington too just for fun.

National Analyst Believes Tennessee Football Can Make CFP

I truly believe that the defensive backs left due to either a coaching change or information from the coaches that they were not going to get much playing time this coming season. It now appears to be the latter of the two as the DB coach is still here.

    I'm proud

Disappointed yes, but also proud of them and enjoyed the season watching them play.

The Right Coach, Getting The Right Players

I will agree that Fulmer was a great recruiter, but I will not agree that he was a great coach. You can't let one national title that I personally think was more about Cutcliffe than Fulmer cloud your judgement about how good Fulmer was . Then if you throw in his stint as AD it gets even worse...

Why was Mustang package so dismal?

It was the opposite of the Falcon's Grits Blitz back in the late 70's. I think the Grits Blitz worked more often though, from what I can remember.

    Fulmer’s legacy?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Clausen forced on Fulmer? If my memory serves me I think I remember that being an AD decision that Fulmer had to agree to in order to remain head coach and he kept tampering in what Clausen was trying to do as Fulmer did not trust him.

    Fulmer’s legacy?

I have quite a bit of doubt. Fulmer should have retired after the 98 championship like his wife wanted and have Cutt take over as head coach. Look at this record with and without coach Cutt, there is a noticeable decline. Fulmer should have been let go no later than 2004 as he was coasting...

    Fulmer’s legacy?

I know many will hold their nose at this, but there were other people who were chomping at the bit for the job. Kiffin would have taken it and even was quoted as saying that he would crawl to Knoxville for a second chance and that he had made a mistake leaving when he did. Freeze would also...

    Fulmer’s legacy?

He squandered quite a bit of talent. He often had as much or more talent throughout the mid 90’s to the mid 2000’s and lost the games that he shouldn’t have and rarely won those that he shouldn’t have. I’ve said it before and that is coach Cut was the real force for the good years Fulmer had as...

    I’m confused about some recruits

Off the top of my head I’d say facilities, tradition, the fact that when the SEC was split into East/West the goal was to equally distribute the 6 Traditional power schools so each division had 3 of them FL, GA, TN to the East and then AL, AU, LSU to the West. That is why FL played LSU every...

    I’m confused about some recruits

I understand what you’re saying, but they have also seen Tennessee ranked #1 in the CFB rankings and neither Ky or SC have ever sniffed that.

    I’m confused about some recruits

If you’re not from the states of South Carolina or Kentucky and have multiple offers from SEC schools including the more historic schools (Al, Au, Fl, Ga, LSU,Tn) why would you include either Ky or SC in your top 2 or 3. I get maybe Al,Ga at this time as you don’t want to ride the bench, but I...

Can Tennessee get into the playoffs, and get a 1st round bye

I think 8 teams get it, but that home environment in the first week of 12 would be electric.
