    Any positives from Saturday? Anyone?

Pretty sure Trent Whittemore who threw that touchdown to open the 2nd half is white. šŸ˜‰

If you are so happy for the other SEC teams to lose, then please do not whine when you win the conference and are left out of the championship playoff because of lousy SOS/human poll ranking. As for me, I will always root for other SEC teams when they are playing non-conference foes, even UGA...

If the SEC expands to 16 teams

Nope... Philly couldn't care less about the Mountaineers...

If the SEC expands to 16 teams

We already turned down WVU. No need to add them unless we cannot pickup a team in the greater DC/VA/MD area (UVA or VT)... WVU really does nothing the bring the DC market. They might be closer to DC than to Birmingham or Atlanta, but they might as well be in LA as far as interest in WVU...

If the SEC expands to 16 teams

And NC State does not hold a veto over UNC leaving the ACC. The reverse is not true according to a prior post...

If the SEC expands to 16 teams

bingo... we would never heal our teams and would self-destruct in the NC race come november...

If the SEC expands to 16 teams

Perhaps. Just as likely imo... But I still think Texas is like a 300-pound, err, make that 300-ton gorilla in the Big12 so that eventually, they will lead to it's implosion. Just look at the people they already ran off: Nebraska, Colorado, A&M and Mizzou. There are only so many...

If the SEC expands to 16 teams

UVA is an AAU member. VaTech isn't. From an academic cachet standpoint, it's no contest between the two. UVA wins hands down. However on the football field, VaTech has of late certainly been more relevant than their bigger flagship university.

    The trifecta

yes we do. so i think the only way UF qualifies for this thread is if we use football, men's BB, and baseball as the big 3 sports...

    The trifecta

possibly but it's so hard to do all 3 in the SEC really... way too competitive in all 3 sports...

    The trifecta

I've watched plenty of CWS but never more than a minute of women's college BB... It's just plain awful, except when UT and Connecticut play each other. Well maybe Baylor lately... At least with college baseball, you expect a slow game on offense. When I watch BB, I want to see players...

If the SEC expands to 16 teams

i knew that would be the answer... but no other conference will admit them as a package deal as we speak... certainly, the PAC12 made that clear the last time because they insisted on also getting UT if OSU came along for the ride...

If the SEC expands to 16 teams

i think VaTech could make a case that it would be BETTER for them to leave for the SEC (less state support because their athletic department would have a larger windfall in the SEC). and UVA would also be better off as their clout in the state (and in the ACC) would be returned to its natural...

    The trifecta

I agree. CWS > Women's BB National Championship (even if UT is a superpower)
