Star Thomas, mama there goes that man!

I think Star Thomas outperformed some more talented backs ahead of him because he's a veteran who understands the play and works with his blockers. I don't think he's as good at making a guy miss, overpowering one defender, or finishing a breakaway run, but he had the best night just by hitting...

    Heupel and Tennessee QB narrative

Tennessee doesn't have a lot of recent success, but Heupel does. The majority of Heupel qb's were drafted. There were a few who signed as UFA, a few who were injured and went into coaching, but the objective fact is that he put QB's in the nfl. He had a few multi-year starters, but people get...

ESPN way to early top 25

I am worried about a slight drop-off simply because we graduated so many good players from both sides of the line, similar to what happened to Missouri this year. We have good players, but many are young and unproven. They could easily prove me wrong, but until then, lower top 20 seems fair...

    closing the talent gap

We're going the right way. I thought we were ahead of schedule, but possibly our rivals regressed, making us look better. Nevertheless, we have two really strong recruiting classes. Next year should be tough -- we're losing a lot on both lines, and we have reduced numbers. After that I expect us...

    WHO (Along With ME!) was...

I had the same initial reaction "you can push but not pull" before I actually watched the clip. That was pulling all the way. And they got away with it. Yeah, I didn't see the actual game, because I still can't watch football after our last game. Still in shock. I'll be recovered by spring...

What type of NIL deal would it take to keep Dylan Sampson?

I think OP's point is that if the NFL doesn't value running backs, we might consider bidding against that. However, just because an amount is "small" in the NFL doesn't mean it's affordable for an ncaa team. (I don't know the numbers, just wanted to make sure people are arguing the same thing...

Sooner fan really looking forward to the game

Quit confusing parody and parity ... unless it is intentional, in which case, nice.

    Neyland 10th loudest in SEC…..šŸ˜‚

I don't advocate using generative language UI; however, if anyone is in a position to train the system, you can ... tell it whatever you want. If you know what I mean.

Sooner fan really looking forward to the game

Look, two historic programs, and yes you're a little ahead. You know we're not going to respect 50 conference championships in a two team conference. I mean, you can only play who's in front of you, and you've done well on the national stage, too, so it's not a problem. But it's not really a...

Early Vegas Lines for the Big Games

I don't accept your conditions. We don't talk about the last 10 years, for good reason. Don't go bringing that up. Anything involving Dooley, Jones or Pruitt ... I could get banned just for saying their names. Seriously, though, you go to an opposing fans' site, see a bunch of reasonable...

Why should I buy a named jersey now?

We seem to be pretty good at retaining players right now, but if that bothers you, try to select a senior. Problem solved.

    How to Regulate NIL

I wonder if a union(maybe a branch of the NFLPA) could provide player representation and the ability to agree to limitations that bring some stability AND allow players to get what they are worth, without just arbitrarily violating players' rights.

The Transfer Portal is Making the Recruiting Rankings Less Relevant

I agree that we seem to be doing pretty well, and that the rapid changes in the sport make predictions less clear. However, I'm seeing a lot of "believe what you want to believe." Just because there's more uncertainty doesn't mean we're suddenly going to win everything (or nothing, for any...

Why have we stopped going fast??

We line up quickly, but we don't have to snap it right away. We can see if the defense is ready, look to the sidelines for a play, or shift to see how the defense responds. We can snap it at any time in that process. There was plenty of hurry up and wait last year, as well. We just executed better.

    Joe Milton III šŸ’£ Tracker

Mid-day sun contributed that that drop. I noticed people having trouble locating the ball for punt coverage/return for high balls on that side of the field.
