I think Ole Miss was the best team not in it, and quite possibly could've made a run, they had some talent. None outside of that. That said, losing 3 games should be disqualifying.
My point was Ohio State lost at home to a 7-5 Michigan team and 1 more ranked win was the reasoning for ranking them over us on Tuesday. You could apply the same logic to Texas, and yes, I do believe the crowd difference is 5 points or more difference in a game, if you don't see that in college...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't seen anyone projecting Sampson high enough to leave early. I think it's preposterous, but I think the highest RB ranking I've seen of him is 7th, don't think he is even a top 10 RB on Mel Kiper's board right now.
I want Clemson to beat SMU. I think that outcome will force them to either bump Bama out or if SMU drops out, the rest of the conference champion losers will need to drop as well.
If Clemson wins the ACC, does SMU stay in and bump Bama out? If SMU drops out, then the rest of the conference championship losers should be punished as well.
Depends on where the committee ranks a Texas team with no good wins and a worse outing vs Vandy and home loss to Georgia. I personally think a Texas loss and Georgia win vs A&M is better for us, but who knows, this committee isn't predictable.
