    Meaningless Game Thought

I’d rather see us win than lose, but it’s the least important game of the season . . . by far. It’s not even going to be the same team that played most of the year.

    '26 Transfer QB options

I lean toward this. Most of what makes a successful QB is between the ears. This kid is potentially another Joe Milton. I think JH could get more production out of him than he’s shown thus far, but I don’t think his processing and decision-making deficiencies can be completely papered over.

Got a bad feeling about Vandy

I believe I said, “I am in no way calling for JH to be replaced.”

    Indeed.

Heupel is a dead man walking as our coach ....

I would subtract 15 games from the 45 as those are non-losable games. The rest of the SEC plays three non-games/year too, but 30-19 is a more accurate representation of his level of success at TN.

Got a bad feeling about Vandy

I actually predicted 8-4 before the season, but when we got more production out of Aguilar and the offense than expected, I think expectations adjusted for everyone. The disappointment comes from the defense falling so far short of expectations. If the defense had even been serviceable, this...

Got a bad feeling about Vandy

If we don’t have the talent to match Vanderbilt, we’re in a bad place as a program.

This game was the exclamation point on it was always a rebuilding year.

Question . . . if we’re breaking in a new QB next year, will that also be a rebuilding year?

It’s up to the coaches to recruit players that can perform. If those players can’t perform, it’s up to the coaches to coach them up to perform. If they can’t be coached up, it’s up to the coaches to find players that can. See a patten here? The players are 18-22 and more transitory. This level...

It absolutely is. If not, who’s fault is it?

Got a bad feeling about Vandy

IMO, this game will determine if this season is a success or a failure. A loss would mean TN went 0-4 against the good teams on the schedule, and 8-0 against the bad ones. The SEC teams we’ve beaten this year are a combined 5-26 in conference play. Going 0-4 in the most important games (losing 3...

    Calm down NegaVols

I thought they should have continued going to Carey once we went cold. From what I remember, they went to him twice and he got two quality shots - he just missed them.

    Calm down NegaVols

There hasn’t been an undefeated team in college basketball since 1975-76. I think they’ll get better from this one. When we went up by 12 I think we relaxed a bit and their intensity ratcheted up. I remember Coach K saying you’d love to learn a lesson and still win, but sometimes you have to...
