Talent for a National Championship for the first time since Fulmer

The Blue-Chip Ratio reminds me of the scene in Cinderella Man when Russell Crowe says, “You think you're telling me something? Like, what, boxing is dangerous, something like that?” What you’re saying is that teams with more talent have a much better chance of winning championships? Now I...

Ethan Burg looks like a winner! (Committed to Vols today)

Just watched a YouTube video on this kid. Seems to have a good handle and is strong with the ball. Great at breaking down defenders to get to the rim or midrange. Shot looks like it needs some work . . . sets his feet kind of wide. Always interesting to see how a foreign player’s game translates...

Interesting Article about QB Competition... Hope Zach is Correct!!

I’ve always thought this is one of the most challenging things to measure because many HS QB’s are never forced to do it.

Interesting Article about QB Competition... Hope Zach is Correct!!

“He processes things fast, makes good decisions.” That is the one pertinent and meaningful thing I took from the article regarding GM. IF TRUE, that gets me excited. Its the most important characteristic for a QB to have in JH’s offense (and prolly any other offense). It’s why HH flourished and...

College Football Hall of Fame INSERTS The Pirate

I’m in agreement with the decision. There are coaches in the HOF that wouldn’t have gone .595 had they coached at Texas Tech, Washington State, and Mississippi State. My memory may be hazy, but I believe he had 11-win seasons at both TT and Wazzu. You don’t do that unless you’re a great coach.

What’s your favorite John Ward phrase?

    Can’t say it’s my favorite, but I fondly remember, “Nix . . . Clicks.”

Power teams only playing each other.

That's what I mean. I still watch Tennessee's cupcake games, but I don't look forward to them. I'll only watch until it's out of hand then I'll switch to a real game if one's available.

Power teams only playing each other.

I’m 100% in agreement with Saban. The games are the product. How many other industries intentionally have a business model where 25% of their product is complete garbage? The goal should be to make the product as good as it can be every week. It’s also not the SEC’s responsibility to make sure...

Pros and Cons of a 9 conference schedule

100%. Playing an odd number of conference games makes no sense to me. The uneven schedules already give teams an advantage some years. This will compound it. Home field advantage in the SEC is massive . . . a team having one more home game vs a team having one more road game is significant. The...

    Top 10 Richest NIL Collectives

Pretty sure WBB does, and it’s my understanding that they generate just about enough revenue to pay for themselves. My point (probably an unpopular one) is that every dollar you’re giving to a womens basketball player is a dollar you’re not giving to a football player. If it’s all coming out of...

    Top 10 Richest NIL Collectives

I have a difficult time seeing getting a full ride to college for playing a sport as getting screwed. It’s more than most students receive. I don’t see institutional NIL payments as something student athletes are entitled to if their sport doesn’t generate enough revenue to run in the black.
