IMO this series comes down to walks and errors. Vols clean those up and I think they win. Seems simplistic, but I believe the Vols will outhit them straight up. It comes down to not giving stuff away…which has been the Achilles of this team through the year.
I thought we got a decent whistle (pretty even) most of the game.
But the last 4-5 possessions they got a better whistle and ZZ just barely missed a couple of shots that would have won the game.
So proud of how the team fought. Much better road performance than at Florida and Vandy
Igor has scrapped, rebounded, blocked a couple shots, made a couple buckets.
No one is lighting it up tonight. See what he is doing, not what he’s not doing.
I hear this, but that 9th or 10th guy is never much more than spot minutes when a guy gets in foul trouble. Very few teams have guys on the bench that make foul trouble a non issue
The game has been played down in the mud, which favors us. Now we just gotta hope the refs don’t decide to try and “clean it up” with a rash of touch fouls.
I think ZZ could will us to a win. On offense it pretty much has to be all ZZ. Pick-n-roll, dribble drive create… as long as we can keep Auburn out of sorts with our defense
I think our defense has got them out of sorts. It’s not like Auburn is missing open looks. Every single shot we are contesting. Auburn has no space to work on the offensive end. We may not win this, but we showed up in the effort and tenacity department.
Love the way we are fighting. Pushing back after getting pushed around a little early. Need someone on offense to get a little hot because not sure how much offense we are gonna be able to run. Would like it to be Lanier but might have to be ZZ or Gainey.
Bruce teams scratch, claw, swipe, reach…
They dare the refs to call a bunch of fouls.
Our guys have to secure the ball, especially on rebounds. Refs are letting it be a war on the glass.
