What will define a successful season?

Expectations from VOLS fans must remain high, even if what our coaching staff brings to the field isn't what it should be. Just being UT generates a positive and we can expect our players to rise to the occasion. 2005 was ugly, but all great schools go through unforgetable seasons (good...

    The toughest game this year

If we listen to all the talk, it will be Georgia. Recent history shows UF plays us pretty hard. I believe our VOLS will be the team that will have to be beat for any other team to stay in the top of the SEC and the top 10. Yes, we can be that good.

Florida or Alabama? Who would you rather beat?

The path to the SECC is through UF. The path to a BCS BOWL is through the SECC. The Nation Champion might can have one loss. So as much as I really, really, really want to beat Ala., we must beat UF to be ranked the highest and be a contender for the national championship. Which by the...

    The Volunteer Squad

Cunningham came from Clarksville Northeast, the same school Travis Stephens came from. He was a 3 year QB that put up some pretty good stats. The team was 1-9 his Sr year but he was the #6 QB in the state thru 10 games.

Crompton Named Starter, No Green Jersey

A new hfc would still have the same player pool to pull from. The question is; Does CPF have the insight to know who the best player is for each position, not just the qb or skill positions. Hopefully he will listen to the advise of his assistants, that might have a new perspective on talant...

That's good to know. A leader with guts and heart usually comes out on top.

Crompton Named Starter, No Green Jersey

OK so Cromp's the guy. I only know what I've heard, he's big, strong and can throw the ball, so I'm willing to wait until Sat. to see. Maybe when the smoke clears we will have a qb to lead us through a good year, whoever that may be. Cromp :boxing2: BJ :boxing2: Nick :boxing2...

Crompton Named Starter, No Green Jersey

There should only be confussion if all qb's are playing at the same level. If that is the case, CPF should not designate a starter until one shows his talant is better. Maybe he feels Cromp is that person. Just because he makes the decision doesn't mean the confusion and angst of '05 won't...

Crompton Named Starter, No Green Jersey

I know you said Cromp but ,as players go, it doesn't matter if it's Cromp, BJ, or Nick They are going to do their best. It is the coach that you need to be able to trust that he is going to play the best. We may not be there yet.

This is good. and funny. I don't believe trust will ever be a word or feeling I have when it comes to coaches.

In that text, He hasn't given us anything on the football field in 9 years. When things are not going well, most people will ask for help. Maybe CPF will get council from his new coaching staff. Not that we know a lot about them, but at least it might be a change of perspective.

I didn't say I have bought in on Cromp or CPF. We have to have a starting point and CPF has given us that.

Crompton Named Starter, No Green Jersey

:hi:This is my first time on VolNation but I have been a UT fan for many many years. Anyone know if the scrimmage tomorrow is open to the public? From what I have heard, Cromp is a leader on the team. We needed a designated leader going into the O/W game and more importantly a leader after...
