That or Saberhagen"s kid is not that good. This hire was all the way with the Clemson connection. I have been at the USA trails this past week and nothing but skeptics have been warranted on this hire.
Vol67 great stats, unfortunately he only managed to win the Conference once and the...
This hire is so ridiculous, when Pat Summit heard the news she passed out!
Bad humor, I know, I do wish Pat well and hope she is better soon.
Just cannot get over this one.
Firing Delmonico set the program back 3-4 years, hiring Raliegh another 2. I want to be fair and give the guy the benefit of the doubt, that is hard when you cannot consistently perfrom in the SoCon.
Do not even interview Scoenrock? Pierce another good candidate! I am very dissapointed in...
Mike will take some heat on this one, only coaching experience at WCU, small school, did a nice job. Has no clue what the SEC is like for recruiting, very questionable hire.
Bruce at least had a proven track record of success at several schools.
Everyone, Bruce Pearl, Bruce Pearl, lets see if everything Mike Hamilton touches turns to gold, bet that it does not. My previous statement is reflected on the fact we contact Gary McClure and not Daron Schoenrock??????
I totally agree, they will at least afford the courtesy of talking to Serrano. Florida gets a nice hire in O'Sullivan. Takes Florida only a week, must be the pay.
MH Silence leads me to believe that he is also looking at Louisville. Just wish that something would come out of this.
Bobby Pierce, John Pawloski, Kevin O'Sullivan, Toman, Schoenrock are all great candidates. Serrano will not come to Tennessee. Mark it on your calendars he is to deep rooted in California to come to Tennessee.
Coach Rock is all that you have mentioned. He does very well recruiting in state and putting a quality program on the field.
Also for those of you who think an ex-ML guy would do the trick????? Coach Rock just spent the last three years turning a dead program run by an ex- ML in Dave...
I just do not think that Coach Cooney is familiar with the SEC and the recruiting that goes on in this league. Coach Cooney has the luxury of probably recruiting within a 150 mile radius. Unfortunately the SEC does not allow for that unless you are Florida.
Coach Schoenrock has league experience, assistant at Kentucky, Georgia, Mississippi State. Head Coaching Experience, took won National Championship at Birmingham Southern.
Coach Rock has good repor with local Tennessee High School coaches. He can get the job done.
The University of Tennessee has asked Vanderbilt for permission to talk to Tim Corbin. Also, University of Memphis Baseball coach Daron Schoenrock was in town meeting with University officials.
Contact has been made by University of Tennessee officials to Austin Peay coach Gary McClure. This is in my opinion more of a courtesy call by Mike Hamilton. Congrats on the great season, would like to offer you the job, but, no thanks.
