'15 VA DT Tim Settle

Thank your for your magnificent contribution, Biopsyman. It's nice to see other members take the time out of their day to do research and bring such wonderful information to this board that has yet to be seen.

I mean, he contributed as much as your comment just contributed. And my comment too for that matter

Ron, I can't remember what thread I read but it stated that DeBerry and Settle hung out with Jakob while on there visit? You or POA know any truth to this?

Last night from Fortenberry...

"For those asking about Settle's visit...

I talked to Tim earlier tonight. He and ricky DeBerry didn't make it to the scrimmage after getting lost on the way from Oxford to Knoxville last Friday night but made it in just as practice ended.

Even though they didn't make it to practice he said it was good to get a feel for the staff and check everything out and in fact Settle said he is planning on being back in Knoxville in early April to see a practice and see campus with people in and around as they came just when everyone was leaving campus for spring break.

We'll have the full story tomorrow after lunch and I'm expecting to talk to DeBerry, who was with Settle, tomorrow night."

"It was fun. I just learned that it's a big school, but I could see myself playing there," Settle said. "It's top-notch and everyone was on spring break but I can't imagine what it would be like with everyone there and people walking around."

"The staff and they need some depth on the defensive line depth chart so I think I'd be a big help," Settle said on why he liked the trip. "They see me as a defensive tackle winning one-on-ones and taking advantage of match ups and just letting me work to be what I can be."

"When I closed my eyes I could picture everything on a game day," Settle said, "and being a Vol on a Saturday night in a night game in front of 102,000 people and listening to people screaming your name when you get a sack or something is just something you have to close your eyes to know what it would like to be there.

"I just felt great being there. I'm hoping to get back up there soon, in early April. I just want to see what it's like when people are there."

He's visiting NCSU this weekend, plans to be back to UT after that then to Oklahoma on April 12.

Sounds like he does have legit interest in us. I'd love to get this kid on board

Hmm... In town in March and coming back in early April. Color me optimistic.
