I guess we have to keep Cuonzo Dooley now. Better enjoy tomorrow and this year's run. Will be the last time we sniff the tournament in awhile.

Maybe OK. We definitely won't be terrible. Terrible means losing record. The first year after Pearl's mess he left we were picked 11 of 12. Next year the roster will be similar with more production coming back than that year. We still won 19. We will win more and be better than Aub no question.

He took the Auburn job because when a major University with a large athletic budget offers you millions of dollars to coach their bball team you take it! Good for him. He gets to go back to doing what he loves and maybe we can bring him back home one day.

No, he's referring to the numerous UT fans in the basketball forum who swore up and down Pearl wouldn't take another SEC job because he loves UT so much.

I'm actually really shocked he took this job. So much for you "Mike Slive won't let it happen" people. Bruce Pearl is good for basketball, especially for the SEC.

Bruce Pearl fans...there is still room on the Lawrence Frank bandwagon :)

At this point probably the worst thing basketball wise that could have happened to Coach Martin....I want CCM to win big but I certainly doubt that happening and then there's NO DOUBT CBP will win at Auburn....and that will really make it hard on CCM...

Cuonzo plays his emotions pretty close to his vest but I never got the feeling he was truly happy here. Maybe I'm wrong but I can't remember the man smiling more than once or twice.

I'll admit that I thought he would find employment more difficult and may have to toil in the mid-major realm a couple seasons (you could argue Auburn is worse than that even).

I was wrong.
