When you're out of rational points to argue, hurling an insult makes you feel bigger and badder, I guess...whatever works for you.

FYI...no, I don't know every season ticket holder, and I never said I did. I am speaking to what I consider to be a general trend.

You know anyone who's fired up about the current bball situation and going in for season tix next year? I sure as hell don't.

What's to argue? You're posting an opinion based on the few people you know. Just because you see the limited scope of your surroundings doesn't make it a fact.

And also, you completely ignored my point about attendance in sports in general is dropping. I just said the NFL almost had to blackout 3 playoff games. The NFL, by far the most popular sports league in America.

It is apples to apples everything fell under the responsibility of the AD. Hiring Bargin Basement coaches without credentials became the norm.

Donations with Hamilton as AD were drying up because Donors were seeing their money go to waste.

He was responsible for everything that succeeded and failed. Did not run a tight ship with the employees as compared to Dickey or Woodruff or even Holt. Each had issues but each of them adjusted. All the incidents were separate and isolated. Hamilton's tenure one feed the other.

Just look at his hires in Football, Basketball, Baseball and tell me how that has worked out. Add Swimming, Track and Field.

That's great about the NFL and all...but last I checked, this is VolNation, not NFLnation.

Initial post I commented on said the trend started when CBP was here, and in fact had not continued under CCM.

My response was my opinion about the general trend and how the raw #'s can be mis-leading, to some extent.

Just because you don't understand, doesn't mean it's flawed.

I agree...it is 'apples to apples' concerning who was in charge of the hiring.

My point is that the general atmosphere around the football program and the basketball program are world's apart right now.

Many are still on the fence with fball because of a losing season last year, but feel like the program's headed in the right direction due to recruiting efforts, as well as CBJ's ability to relate to the public.

I would argue that many of those on the fence with the bball program have made their minds up about CCM and if he's retained, I would expect attendance figures next year to back that up.

Good Ole Bruce aint coming back...Cuonzo is safe and sound. And honestly I see them winning the SEC Tourney. They may actually run away with it....Grey Uni's should be a bonus and an average margin of victory of +27 over their last 3...this team is poised to make a run

Not so long ago these programs were almost the exact opposites. The scales are slowly balancing out again and hopefully they will.

The entire AD has been and still is in a rebuild mode. The General Atomsphere about Vol Athletics has been down in all sports and that was my point. How we got there was the real question.

A lot has happened, IOW the house burned to the ground and the rebuild is going to take longer than the fans would like.

I wasn't even sure CHW was the right replacement for CPHS, but she has proven a lot to me.

I attended the Game yesterday and am convinced that CDS was the right hire. I have seen them play a few times this year.

The Weekly's were always a solid hire for the Lady Vols.

No home game against Kentucky and some big OOC games in the road hurt attendance a little this year.

Replace TA&M with UK and you gain at least 3-4k fans for that game alone. Stupid new scheduling is stupid.

Cbp attendance numbers his last year may have been better if he had coached all the games. Just putting it out there, seems everyone can just stick opinions out there and say they are facts.

Fact 1. Cbp took us to the tourney every year.

Fact 2. Some of those teams were way out talented by ccm current team.

Fact 3. Attendance was higher during the cbp era than any other coach.

Fact 4. Cbp worst season has still been better than any ccm season.

Really? Do tell. What Pearl teams (meaning more than one according to you) were "way out talented" by ccm teams (again...plural).

There, fixed it. Is that all you have? I could keep going with more facts. But I still stand by what I have assessed before, and that is I still have not seen any of you ccm supporters say that ccm is a better COACH than cbp. If you try there are many more stats and facts that I can show that most already know. Cbp is a better coach period. If your employer sees a better option you will be replaced. It sounds bad except that if the employee can upgrade he or she does. Same should be with coaches.

If no one thinks that ccm is a better coach then why do they keep fighting to keep his mediocre talent wasting a$-! Seems to me that if we can upgrade at seasons end all except ccm and his family would be excited for it. Maybe I am crazy for wanting my team to get better with or without a tourney appearance this year.

We've absolutely hammered 4 of the toughest teams in the nation in the last two weeks.

Our RPI is awesome, blah, blah...CBP cheats...blah, blah, blah.

You're a VFL no more.

Just summing up the next few posts on this thread before the Martin boys jump back in.

I have a feeling Pearl will end up at Bama and turn that program into a powerhouse that will own Tennessee year in and year out.
