Is that a serious question? Congress is deadlocked. The two-party system is defunct. This is one of the big reasons so many Americans reject AGW. Since the DNC aligned themselves with the environmentalist movement 50% of America now feels obligated to reject environmental science.

Yes its a serious question and no an all nighter isnt a vote. If GW is such a problem, why hasnt the senate brought up one GW vote? You could have easily "lowered the sea level" when you had control of the house, senate and WH. But the Dems didnt vote on it, why?

Get a grip. The ozone layer is healing fine. The paper you're hilariously overreacting to identified four previously unknown ozone-depleting CFCs. There are only trace amounts of these compounds in the atmosphere. You don't have to forfeit any moneys.

Acid rain is going to kill us all!!!




Wait that was back in the 1980s when I was being taught in school that we were on the verge of the next ice age. Imagine my suprise when we cane back to school after summer break and we were told that the world was getting hotter not colder. I asked the teacher what happened to the next ice age and she said "we have new science now".
When climate change gets debunked,the way every other BS threat has, there will be a new threat we will need saving from.

If it's as bad as it sounds I'll have to shift gears. I've been trying to have an honest and open discussion here but there's no such thing as honest discussion with denialists. Another poster alluded to this earlier. Perhaps I was naive to think there are rational skeptics among you. I had high hopes, even for SV.

Btw we've covered the global cooling myth several times. Earth would be entering an ice age soon (geologically speaking) if the natural cycle hadn't been broken by global warming.

Just like organized religion there are the few at the top making craploads of money, or spinning a message to controll the masses. They are getting rich while the sheep follow along and regurgatate the talking points. I feel sorry for those like yourself who have bought into the cult. Maybe one day you'll wake up and see it for what it is.

Why the ideal gas law, gravity, & atmospheric mass explain the entire 33C greenhouse effect



An article published today in The Guardian provides a simple explanation of the ideal gas law, and why increased pressure increases temperature. The ideal gas law, in turn, explains the entire 33C greenhouse effect on Earth, as well as the entire greenhouse effect of other planetary atmospheres.

The ideal gas law and 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics are used to derive the adiabatic lapse rate, which may then be used to determine the entire atmospheric temperature profile and surface temperature of Earth and all the other planetary atmospheres, completely independent of so-called radiative forcing from greenhouse gases. The entire 33C greenhouse effect on Earth, temperature profile of the troposphere, and surface temperature is thus determined based solely upon the equilibrium temperature with the Sun, atmospheric mass, and gravity, and is independent of the CO2 concentration or changes in CO2 concentration. In comparison, conventional greenhouse theory fails to explain the planetary temperatures of Venus, Earth, Mars, Titan, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, etc.
