Is he going to buy pizza again? Are we going to get those chicken sammiches if we score over 100? Sounds good to me.

Please explain why they wouldn't win at the same rate?

In the case of Petrino, Louisville won't get the players to compete with the FSUs and Clemsons of the ACC. He will be an easy negative recruiting target and his coaching won't be good enough to make up for it (at WKU, he got obliterated by a bad UT team that had to hold on for dear life to escape South Alabama; most experts expected WKU to keep it close and some even picked them to beat UT).

As for Pearl, he can no longer get away with hundreds of improper contact violations. He built his career on a foundation of cheating and now he can't do that and dodge the consequences. And he won't have another Chris Lofton to bail him out when half-court offensive possessions break down, as happened much more often than University of Pearl fans want to admit.

Lofton made shots. Jujuan Smith. Tyler Smith. Chism. Bradshaw made plays on both ends.
Guys made plays. Teams won. Motivating guys to play to their fullest and allowing them the freedom to play ball without fear of being yanked is only lost on those fans who don't understand the game that's played on the court, and how a coach like BP helps create those players. You think Lofton gets as many spot up 3's off the break on CM's teams? Give me a break. You think Pearl is going to call a timeout when Jujuan is in his zone on both ends and zap it?

Definitely agree. Chris Lofton was critical to Tennessees Elite Eight run and without him Tennessee never would have beat Kansas after Tyler Smith was suspended

I have long suspected that you care nothing for Tennessee basketball and this post proves it, troll.

Mr. Hart said this:

“In the big picture, basketball is a tournament sport,” Hart said. “Let’s make no doubt about it, the goal for everybody in the country — every coach and AD in the country — is to make the tournament. And there is only one tournament.”

Let us hope if the goal is not achieved he takes the proper steps to make sure it absolutely does happen ASAP.

What if we make it?

What if we make it?

Seems like we can make it under two scenarios

1) We beat either Georgia (86 RPI) or Vandy (89 RPI) AND Missouri (38 RPI) AND some other teams lose games they shouldn't.

OR

2) We win the SEC tournament, or at least get to the championship game.

I'm sorry but a below .500 record against RPI Top 150 ain't cutting it. Ideally we would be at least .500 against RPI Top 100, but we can't lose any of the games in #1 above.

The SEC sucks this year and we are playing mediocre in it. Doesn't look good for the Orange Team

I guess I wasn't aware Lofton played under Pearl for all 6 seasons.

This is a terrible thing to think. We should all be rooting for this team to play better and make the tourney. Maymon, McRae, and Stokes deserve better. After the season ends regardless of whether they do or don't make the tourney, Hart should evaluate the progress of the coaching staff. If he does a fair and honest evaluation, then a change is in order.

These young men playing in the program shouldn't have to suffer in order to make the AD's job easier.
