Would you be for Bruce Pearl's return if Martin is fired after next year?

It's not like he had to play Walkons out of the crowd. He inherited what turned out to be a heck of a backcourt.

Volman - you just named my top 2 options. Smart would be my back up the Brinks truck hire, although if you look at his salary and how it's structured at VCU, he doesn't make nearly as much as I anticipated and his buyout is fairly resonable. Howland has been to multiple final fours and would also be a very good hire IMO. Unfortunately, I think CCM gets another year absent a meltdown of epic proportions.

I don't think it will make a difference but I did send a letter. That at least made me feel better. This is some of the worst basketball I have seen in years. We are not fun to watch, don't do anything well, and really hard to root for. This is the first time in my life I really do not want us to make the tourney because I think that is the only way we get a change. Sometimes you have to just blow it up and start over. I want my grand kids to feel the thrill and excitement that used to be Tn bb when I took my son. It embarrasses and hurts me now. If we can't get new coaching blood then at least bring back Bruce. He at least made us feel like relevant.

Unfortunately, the basketball program doesn't have the money to break the bank for their next coach. If only there was a proven X&O's coach who could fill the stands overnight and could be had for cheap.

I hope CCM makes the tourney and leave for another job because he will always be compared to Pearl.We need someone who runs uptempo.

UT is one of the 10 wealthiest athletic departments in collegiate sports. They could afford it if they wanted. Plus, Haslam, Thornton and other boosters could stroke the necessary checks without blinking an eye. I am so tired of us shopping for Rolexes at Wal-Mart.

Some of you guys may seriously want to take a look at the SI article about some of the stuff that went on at UCLA under Howlands watch. It wasn't all his fault but poor performance on the court wasn't the only issue.

yeah, those 3 final fours where real poor performance. not to mention what he accomplished at Pitt.

I just yelled out my door to being back Pearl. Hope my voice was heard. Also, haven't been to a game this year in support of another hc.
