Believe me, I want CM to succeed at UT; however, the window of opportunity is closing so much with each loss. It sucks to see people lose their jobs if it comes down to it but it is a business. Another thing we need to ask ourselves is making the tourney and being 1 and done enough in three years for this staff?

He did not make the move he had the authority and the opportunity to make after Dools' second season and as a result caused the program to go even further in the tank as well as costing the UTAD millions of dollars in funding. Hardly top notch performance by either Cheek or Hart.

So color me skeptical of anything those two can accomplish as it relates to the basketball program. I am squarely in the camp of hiring Bruce back, he never should have been fired to begin with and they should have resisted the NCAA with all they had. That would have spoken volumes to future potential coaches that they stood behind their coaches when relatively minor things go wrong. In that case Hamilton was 100% correct with his recommendations. Zo will determine if he comes back or not by how the season finishes. Maybe Hart can get lucky with an up and comer like the did with Butch. Will see. Not counting on it.

If they did come to their senses and patch things up and rehire Bruce, it would re-energize Vol fans and the program. The recommendation they have a brother's keeper to keep him out of trouble is excellent. I am sure Bruce would do things right and better both on and off the court. There has never been a more no-brainer hire in my book than hiring Bruce back.

Hart lost his job partly due to his trying to force Bowden out when he knew he was past his prime and President TK Weatherall wouldn't allow it. Weatherall happened to play football under Bowden and Bowden had many folks in his corner. Hart was fighting a losing battle. Little did people know, he might've saved that program from the downfall they experienced if they let him do his job.

We need to move him out even if he sneaks into the tourney. He's lame duck now and the majority of fans don't want him win or lose. If we move him out now we can get Bruce back.

Yea, which is why I clearly asked am I missing something. I admittingly skimmed through it a few times while eating lunch, but I didn't see anything earth shattering. I was expecting to see a "I talked to Hart and he told me that if a change is needed Bruce will be his first call" type of quote.

Bruce never came within a thousand of averaging a sell out for the season, and attendance was declining under him.

Where do you get the idea that all of a sudden TBA would be too big for all the fans wanting to watch him?

That is where I differ. Will never root for our team to lose. I didn't when Dooley was here and still wanted him fired. It can be done.

Either way it would lead to more sales, excitement and revenue than the crap we are being forced to deal with now.

Bruce isn't coming back. The program is declining again. I refer to our bball program to Vandy's football program. The flash bang coach is gone and both programs are returning to reality.

He got real lucky when we turned to Butch, but you can also argue that Strong wasn't a bad option considering he was just hired by a Top 3 program.

I would love Bruce back, but he will coach somewhere else next year, Best bet for the program is we get a young, tourney experienced coach, but more than likely CM will still be here.

Tickets will be hard to sell if that is the case.
