But if a large portion of our base does that, then the democrats will win again.

It's time for the ever growing(and pretty much ignored) conservative base of the GOP to break away and start a new party.

The time has come for a U.S. Conservative Party!:dance2:

If the base isn't voting for your candidate, maybe their not your base anymore.

Like 'ol Ronny used to say "I didn't leave the Democratic party, they left me". That's what the Republican party is doing with their base.

That makes sense.

There's no way Ron Paul, Rand Paul, or Gary Johnson belong in the GOP. The GOP is liberal party #2

The wishy washy moderate to liberal Godfathers running the GOP are going to have the same situation the Whigs dealt with in the 1800s when the conservative base leaves the GOP in the not too distant future.

Bobby Jindal did say the Republicans are The Stupid Party.

One would think they'd figure out that trying to out-right each other in the primaries translates to a whoopin' in the general and they can't walk it back to appear moderate.

$10 says it happens again in the run up to 2016.

Oh yeah, the last two nominees were real right wing. :banghead2:

My advice to the Republican party is to stop nominating Democrats.

You do know a final split in the GOP is inevitable. The Conservatives aren't going to sit back and take the treatment they're getting for much longer.

So would the Democrat Party.

If they could keep their traps shut on the so-called social issues the Dems wouldn't have a chance. You would see an energized base going to the polls in droves.

And the majority of Conservatives leave the GOP. Try winning anything without Conservatives voting for that candidate.

Time for a U.S. Conservative Party. The GOP no longer wants Conservatives

Hog the base of the GOP nor the Dems is large enough to win. It takes the moderate vote to win the presidency. It is simple math.
