Last week (Friday) my wife delivered our second child (boy). Then later that evening my daughter and I were in a head on collision (no injuries) and I totaled my truck. Best day of my life! #blessed.

2nd best day, everyday after that.

Go Vols!

Sorry about your truck and it's great no one was hurt. Most importantly, congratulations on the new addition

Coach Stripling says that J. Williams and Vereen are having "monster" off seasons, and are progressing very well, per scout

Maybe Williams will be our Michael-Palardy-unexpected-break-through-senior-of-the-year this year. Would be awesome if he was.

Butch needs to come to Sacramento. This is actually starting to become a big time football town out here. We just had a bunch of guys sign to UCLA. Next year, former rivals 100 safety James Sample is coming out of juco. He went to Washington then left.

Going by stars alone.... he dropped from a 4 star in high school to a 3 star in JUCO. Not a good trend.

Doesn't mean crap. We're running a pristine juco program out of ARC ( American River College ). We just started getting better athletes here around 2010. The guy is 6'4" at a wiry 220. Fast ass linebacker if we need one.

Alright guys, I just went back and watched this and something caught my eye that I found hilarious for some reason. Go to the 6:50 mark and watch Vic's punt return. Then go back to the 6:50 mark and watch the first guy that whiffs on the tackle as soon as Vic catches it.... watch him for the whole return

Good catch POA. It was almost like he was doing his own dance. Whiff on a tackle, run away, find a dance partner, twirl around, run away, do-si-do, where'd she go? lol. Funny stuff.

247 switched their page over to all 2015 recruiting. New CB picks, team rankings, and 2015 recruits. I was curious when services would start to do that. Rivals and Scout should follow quickly. IMO the day after NSD, it ought to roll over.

Rivals Position Recruiting Rankings: Defense

They broke it down to 5 categories; DT, DE, LB, DB and ATH. UT is top 5 in DE and DB.

DE - UT is #4. The other 4 are Bama, A&M, Miami and UGA.

4. Tennessee

The Vols added three four-star defensive ends to the roster, headlined by the No. 78 recruit in the nation, Hendrix. Also signing on Wednesday were Barnett, the No. 169 recruit in the nation and Henderson, the No. 14 weakside defensive end in the nation.

DB - UT is #3. The other 4 are Bama, UF, Auburn, LSU.

3. Tennessee

The Vols had depth concerns in the secondary and responded by adding six new players on Wednesday, five of which are four-stars. Leading the group is Kelly, the No. 66 recruit nationally. Also joining the Vols were McDowell, Gaulden, Berry, Payne and three-star Moseley.

UT should have been top 5 in LB, IMO, but Rivals has Bryant and J. Johnson as 3 stars.

Ron, who had the #1 and 2 DB classes? With 5 4 star DBs (and 2 of those being severely underrated..Gaulden and McDowell), there is no way that there were 2 other DB classes stronger and deeper than ours. Ridiculous! Show this class some deserved love!

A few things:

1. Did anyone ever call out the poster, "Serpent****" for his big commitment that we were waiting on on NSD... or is he claiming the Banks commitment?

2. Several Vols got the shaft for the combine. Let's hope they kill it when we have the scouts over to K-town.

3. I hope Jordan Williams puts it all together this year. So far, he is Jacques 2.0.

I'm sure Alabama is #1. They signed 5star CB Humphrey, 5star CB Tony Brown and 4star S Hootie Jones.

Edit- Not saying I disagree with you.

I was kind of po'ed Raijon didn't get invited. I could see him being a workout warrior that helped his stock out with great combine numbers. Dude was all kinds of strong and fast.

Idk how he didn't get invited. He's a pretty damn good back.

Ok, completely brain cramped about Bama's DB class. So, who is #2? Btw, forget Bama!!!

So throwing tempered expectations out the window, as I like to do when it comes to my Vols, imagine Malone having a Justin Hunter type freshman year. Pearson having a similar impact as CP in the receiving game and Hurd having a Jamal Lewis or Lattimore type Freshman season. All are rated as high and have the advantage over those guys by enrolling early and going through Spring camp. If that happens and the D improves with the upgrade in LB and DB corps then we could have a break out season. Lots of ifs but crazier things have happened.

After watching that highlight video, one thing I am sure of is that Evan Berry and Emmanuel Mosely have a special type of speed.

Those two are just stupid fast
