'15 NM QB Zach Gentry

Potentially he and Gibson could be here for the spring game. I'll take whichever one wants to commit then. or both.. whatever.

All I can say about this kid is a sure hope his 247 stats are wrong. When you complete 150 out of 2811 passes, the completion % is a lil rough. :eek:lol:

Like a youthful Conner Shaw, he is!

Only taller.

And from New Mexico.

Honestly, like a really big Dan LeFevour.

At quarterback, there seems to be an early pecking order with several guys like Torrance Gibson, Zach Gentry and Jarrett Stidham sticking out.

As for Gentry, Tennessee has made a very big early impression there. But, more programs are beginning to take notice as Oklahoma State offer and they will not be the last.

Hey, I'm allowed my orange tinted shades every once in a while :matrix:

But seriously though, I would take Gentry the Sentry in a heartbeat. 6'-6" and 230lbs? That's insane. And the kid has good running ability for a QB, too.

It sounds like Gentry is the highest on us out of the 3. Lock it up, Butch!

I think your right.

Gentry-40%
Stidham-15%
Gibson-5%
Williams-80% (If they can take 2).
Jennings-60%(If he agrees to play another position if QB does not work out).

I agree that Gentry would be a take at any time if they could get him.

I'd be cool with Gentry and then Jennings as a QB/ATH or someone else in the same role

Unless Jennings agrees to the move if it comes to that, I doubt UT pushes for him or he really considers UT. What I read makes me think he is 100% sold on playing QB in college. IMO we would have to miss on several QBs before they would promise Jennings he WILL be a QB at UT.

You can promise him to get his "first look" at QB. I'd be fine with leaving him there into year 1. I think if he's really as bad of a QB as some on here think he will flop and it will be noticeable to even him. Then the move to S will be mutual. JMO

Most of our QBs since Peyton have been west coast guys. Bray, Ainge, both Clausen's

I'm in no way saying we can't pull him to UT. All I am saying is that is one reason I put it at 40% chance we get him. I'd expect him to hold out for a while and see what other offers come.
