We really need to check out Brad Underwood at Stephen F. Austin. Awesome track record, excellent recruiter and known winner. Stephen F. Austin is 20-2 in his first year as head coach. Regardless of conference that's hard to do.

Talk about hiring a nobody.

Id rather keep Zo if that's the route we are going to go, how pathetic.

Firing and hiring someone, just to do it isn't always the best plan.

Since money will be the most important factor in the next hire, why don't we go after the coach that we could hire for cheap that has a proven track record, the campus would get behind, and he has done what no other coach has done for UT.........

Who said it'll be cheap?

If he's such a hot commodity like suggested wouldn't landing said coach require some cash?

Why must Pearl be brought up in every thread about a coaching search? The man lied to the NCAA and was given a show-cause as a result. I am grateful for everything he did for UT basketball, but, he should not be hired back. Period. It's time to move on...

Really? So if you make a mistake and you ask forgiveness, you should not get another chance? He should have never been fired in the first place. He admitted the lie and the NCAA gave him the punishment. He is the greatest thing to happen to this BBall team. He brought what CBJ has to football, excitement. He loves UT and wanted to win at all cost.

Oh your saying like... Wait for it... Wait for it... Bruce!!!!!

Whatever coaching list Hart has put together better have Jim Crews name on it. I have no idea if he would realistically be retainable or not. And it certainly wouldn't be the sexy hire that some people would like to see, but I think he would do a good job here.

I know this is gonna sound idiotic, but I'd prefer a coach under the age of 50. Don't really have a great reason lol, just a preference.

to each their own. I just know we could do a lot worse.

Oh I agree, he's a great x and o guy. I just would prefer a younger guy, but that's just personal preference.

Doesn't STL play a slower style though, seems our fan base doesn't like that.

Still would love to see us land Pitino Jr.

They don't press all game, but their pg's make sure their offense doesn't bog down and creates opportunities. They bust their hump all game long also.

As for our fan base not liking that style. This is the same fan base that has people that would be pissed to make the tourney if we didn't get the seeding of their liking, instead of being tickled pink to make it. lol So....

No, he lied and then tried to cover up said lie and it blew up in his face. You're using revisionist history...

You think if Hart nuts up and fires Zo...it's"just to be doing it"? :pilot:

If the replacement is a mid major who's never made the dance....then ya, that ls just to be doing it.

So a midmajor who HAS made the tourney...would be an improvement from the last search?

But you're not taking into account the TN formula. A new coach comes in, excitment abounds, everybody buys tickets because "this guy can't be as bad as the last guy". Year one looks pretty good because he's doing the best he can with the crap stain he was left to work with. Year two really sucks but excuses are still valid. Year three excuses are dwindling, attendance falls, apathy returns. AD fires coach. AD makes uninspiring hire but he's got to be better than the last guy. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Lol

So attendance goes from 13 to 15k next year, to 13 in year 2, to 10k in year 3.

Before long we are auburn
