I don't see either Evan Berry listed, so where are we starting him at I wonder?

I read some article yesterday that had a quote from Coach Willie Martinez saying Evan could play any of the DB positions. So he is gona play defense is my guess. No, I don't have the link.

Butch said he'd start out where he wants on offense and if its not working out he'd switch to defense.

On 104.5 in Nashville, Jones said they pretty much let the kids start where they want to play. This gives the recruit a chance to see if they can work in that position, and it gives the coaches a chance to evaluate the player there.

If they think he could better serve elsewhere, they have a conversation with the player and talk about another spot.

I can only assume they do that with all of them, and, if true, it's not hard to see why the players like him.

Being from the Midstate, it'll be nice to be able to cheer on Midstate kids wearing Orange on Saturdays.

Agreed. Used to be, your last name had be Bartholomew or Fleming to get the attention of the UT staff around Middle TN...

@patrickbrownTFP: SEC earlier announced its schedule for media days (July 14-17). Tennessee's turn is Tuesday (7/15), along with A&M, Carolina & Miss State.

Meh...I can't be the only one who thinks taking a game from Neyland sucks, can I? ...unless it's considered a road game.

Vols To Kick Off 2015 Season At LP Field - UTSPORTS.COM - University of Tennessee Athletics

"We have made the necessary adjustments to our 2015 football schedule in order for us to move our opening game against UAB to Nashville, which is a priority for us from the perspective of recruiting, our fans, and our alumni. We were scheduled to play Connecticut in 2015 and 2016, but we have a mutual agreement to suspend that series in order to provide us the opportunity to play in Nashville in 2015 and in Bristol in 2016. We will still play seven home games this year in Neyland Stadium in 2015, beginning with hosting Oklahoma on September 12."

I know Tennessee is known as WRU but couldn't a better case be made for DLU?

I'm sure we have put more DL in the league than WR, but I think it's the number of first round WRs that got us the WRU name.

Did we put a lot of first round DL in the league too?

Ellis, Henderson, Haynesworth, Ayers, Harrell, and Dan Williams off the top of my head since 2000.

Man we needed Eric Gordon in 2013. We have two-three more wins potentially. IMO.

It seems like the fact that you have not seen him play in quite some time that your memories of his play have gotten fuzzy. He had some things he was good at, for sure. I liked the intensity and fire he played with. He was not afraid to lay a hit on somebody. But he was fooled and got out of position A LOT. That was why his playing time was so sporadic. He might have made a difference in a win because the nickels we played this season were so bad. But it is a huge stretch to think he makes a difference of 3 games. Even 2 is probably not likely.
