Preemptive Grammys Gay Marriage Thread

Marriage isn't a right. There are no rights given after some one is married.

Y'all carry on with hating on one another.

I'm of the mind that the government shouldn't be in the marriage business. Last name change should be easier, there should be no tax benefits or penalties for marriage, seeing a loved one who is in terminal condition shouldn't require as much, and marriage as a whole shouldn't be put to vote.

I agree.

Because he's got lots of self loathing from his trips to the pickle park

Not sure I get that. Anyway it's easy to see who are truly the close minded. Hell I went to an annual Christmas party hosted by gay friends yet I'm not for gay marriage. Chatting it up with folks by the patio heater who were toking on a J or pipe yet I'm against legalizing. I'm such a self loathing intolerant bigot.

I suppose you have a black friend as well.

Seriously, all this post says is you're brave enough to post your beliefs on a mb, anonymously, but you aren't brave enough to express them at a Christmas party to those who hold opinions you oppose. Why not? Why not give these people the chance, face to face, to debate you on the merits of your arguement. If you believe as strongly as you claim, have this debate with those you know that hold a different opinion. Or are you afraid they'll see you for who you are? You attend their party, accept their hospitality, then run home to bash their lifestyle behind a screen name on the internet. That's just cowardly.
