Are you say Jesus is gay or Jesus would approve of gay marriage? I just read first sentence
* read last paragraph too. Hell no civil rights leaders don't want equality & the self proclaimed ones now damn sure don't either. All they wanna do is continually promote racism & piss & moan about everything. If you think it's about equality you're a moron. They want something above equality which is why you have affirmative action & s****
He equates gay marriage to slavery and women's rights. He fits perfectly into Mama Gump's saying "stupid is as stupid does."
I'm saying Jesus wasn't in the majority when he changed the world. You asked why the majority should change for the few. Seems like you can find your answer in your religion, unless you believe Jesus was wrong.
Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are not civil rights leaders. Civil rights leaders no longer seem to exist, which is why I referenced them in the past tense.
Reading comprehension is your friend.
It's pretty easy to equate the three as they all were/are about achieving equality for everyone, regardless of differences.
I agree they are comparable. I can assure you that many in the GLBT community consider this a civil rights issue, even though many on here apparently do not.
I do not equate the persecution gays have endured with that of slavery, but they are certainly comparable in terms of being civil rights issues.
So is intelligence & common sense.
Apparently the civil rights leaders of the past didnt accomplish a damn thing. Just ask the blacks. If they legalize gay marriage the homosexuals will still be crying 30 years from now too. They all get preferential treatment in just about every aspect of life yet that's not discrimination to the majority.
civ·il rights
noun
plural noun: civil rights
1.
the rights of citizens to political and social freedom and equality.
Per the definition you already have it.
As it pertains to the govt institution of marriage, equality has not been met, so no, they don't already have it. Marriage ceased to be a religious institution only when the govt started getting involved. Of course, married couples didn't mind govt involvement when it meant they received perks. Now that others are fighting for equal treatment, now it's a problem. Weird how that works.

So churches lobbied to bring the fed in? Seems to me the fed did it on their own. Also seems to me the gays issues aren't with the Christians but the Feds.
Maybe they should elect gay leaders to represent them.
Maybe government & religion share a lot of common values. If you don't like it try to elect officials that choose not to & see how that goes.

"Stupid is as stupid does." Seems to fit you as well.
You just showed your stupidity. Thanks for playing.lol:
lol: The sad part is you don't even realize why your response is stupid. If you are under the age of 30 I can give you a pass, if not then wow.
This is actually pretty accurate. I really have nothing against Christians and support their religious freedom (even though most don't care much for people like me).
Technically the government did initiate the current inequality and the ultimate resolution will likely come from SCOTUS.
Ultimately, too many folks are transfixed on what's happening in bedrooms versus everything else that makes up an individual. If we could get beyond that and foster a bit more empathy I think we'd be much better off.
I can agree with this.
My questions are this:
Why must I see grown men French kissing on every other channel?
What channels are you watching? I rarely see grown men kissing on TV. There is far more man/woman kissing going on.
Why force this lifestyle on myself and my children?
Who is forcing you or your children to be gay? I'm not seeing that.
Why must hetro's accept it?
Why must church's accept it?
Churches and their congregations(youself included) do not have to agree with gay marriage, just accept that everyone has the right to live life as they choose. Worry about your salvation and let others worry about their own.
And lastly- what's more innate? To procreate or?
Guess that depends on the individual.
Dominoes are already falling as more states recognize gay marriage. It's only a matter of time until the nation as a whole does the same. The fire has been lit, and it's only going to continue to grow. The back and forth on this board won't change that. This is just an attempt to try and broaden narrow minds before the inevitable comes to pass.
