'14 GA RB Treyvon Paulk (UT Signee 2/5/14)

Gatorade and their player of the year award in Tennessee must have felt he looked OK playing RB.

There are a lot of kids who look great at RB in HS. Remember Fugate ran for 3000 yards too. Alden Hill was good in HS. Young looked like he could fly in HS too. I'm talking about at the college level. He doesn't look like a college RB at all.

I'm pretty sure Alden Hill and Justus Pickett will be RBs too. Don't see much need to consider using Berry or TK at RB.

Idk, but for some reason I'm kinda excited to see what Pickett can do. I've just got a feelin he's gonna be better than most think and will see significant playing time this year.

This won't happen (which is fine, likely starting at LB this year) but I always wanted to see what jrm could do toting the rock.

Not even trying to be a dick, cause hopefully he progresses well, but Id be surprised if he gets a carry in a remotely close game.

FTR, I'm not hating on Hurd. But JRM really out-performed Hurd when they played Beech HS in 2012.

Hurd would have a 50 yard run and then JRM would come right back and match him. Beech ended up winning like 44-43 or something close to that. One of the better HS games I've seen in a while.

That would have been a show

IMO Alden Hill has not been used enough at RB in his time at UT. I see a lot of situations when him being a bigger back would make a lot of sense on 3rd and 2 and we must get a 1st down, but the Pig sweep is called. Yeah, I don't get it. Last year Hill was given all of 10 carries. He averaged 5.8 yards a carry and scored 1 TD in those 10 carries. I'd like to see him carry it a little more and see how he does. Of course a kid can't look good toting the ball, if he is never given the ball.

Well if this is the case I just don't see why the coaches would wasted a scholly if they didn't see him producing somewhere. But that's why I'm not the coach right?

Desperate for roster improvement, possibly. Dire situation when they took over.

LOL @TKJ playing RB for UT. He is a Safety. All the way. No doubt about it.

Like someone previously mentioned, almost ALL of these football prospects that UT signs played both ways for their high schools. They are all unbelievable athletes and are expected to carry their HS teams. They are successful on offense AND defense. But normally they project to play one position in college.

And for TKJ that position is Safety. Yes, he made some good highlights at RB. But that was because of his superior athletecism. Also, the competition Webb played was a joke, for the most part.

However, it is pretty obvious through watching film that TKJ will/can be an All-American caliber DB in college. His ability to read the play, shed blocks, get to the football, and stop the run is extraordinary.

Hurd will be a star, as will Scott. but ive said this since day one. im most excited about Treyvon Paulk. this kid has moves and deceptive speed that neither guy has.

damn. what a haul.

They both played their tails off. I knew that was going to be a barn burner.

To me Paulk is the type of runner you see in the second half of games pounding away & finishing off games. He does have burst too which means that after he smashes through, he gone.

Good game but I give Hurd the edge in the game and he was a Jr. imo

Hubbs said he's scheduled to arrive today just like Sawyers. No word on either yet.

Perhaps I am reading too much into the Saturday arrivals but that very well might mean they are UOV.

One less night if expenses for family in a hotel. Both Paulk and sawyers are close enough to Knoxville I would guess coming last night would have been easy

Which might mean Paulk could blue shirt.

Any off campus visits to him???
