His name is Larry. I'm not sure what his connection is but he brings accurate info on most occasions. Since I have been on VN, I have noticed that his information tends to be pretty conservative as well, so when he speaks, people usually listen closely.

I've heard several college coaches say that getting to the "decision makers" for a particular recruit (whether that be a mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, hs coach, whoever) is often just as important, if not more, as getting to the recruit himself.

Hopefully with his "decision makers" seemingly liking UT the most they end up being the deciding factor when he sits down with them to make his decision.


I'm trying not to get too optimistic, but we are definitely a factor in this one. I think it's either UT or usc. JMO

Btw, I know our in-home with AJ and his parents apparently went well, but did anyone ever hear any quotes regarding our track coach being there with all the football coaches and how that went? He was scheduled to go with the football coaches last I heard. What's the feel on how AJ feels with our track program and coach?

I spoke with a UT Track Coach after the Georgia game and she was super optimistic about getting the program turned around.

To the people saying hes not coming here. He prob wont. But we are in it till the end. We are comin off 3 losing seasons. If we improve on the field , the flood gates will open. If we can manage a few more wins , imagine what our recruting will be like. If we can recruit a top 5 class with 3 straight losing seasons, the future is bright.

This exactly, we are in this battle and actually look good, do we get him? Not sure but I do like where we stand
