'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

He and Malone are great friends, and if he does come to UT will be a major reason why.

OrangeHammer, not that I doubt the validity or accuracy of your info but one of the talking heads stated Adoree is friends with a lot of the high profile recruits. What's your reaction to the 247 article in relation to your info?

Thank you sir. I will wear my badge with pride.

Yes, this class that Butch has assembled has many legacies and instate ballers. Many of those kids would not be Vols if Butch wasn't here. No way Dooley lands Hurd, Bates, The Berry twins, Malone, Gaulden, Barnett or Wharton. And he definitely doesn't have a shot with guys like Hendrix, McDowell, Blair, Pearson, etc...

And the '15 class already has 4 - 4 stars. We're sitting #4 in the country on 247 for '15 class rankings. And you know how good of shape we're in for so many more '15 ballers.

Honestly, TCV, not sure where you're going with this argument. Yes, we've lost many games lately but we're still UT, a top 10-15 program nationally, we spend more on recruiting than any other team in the country, our facilities are top notch, Neyland with 102k is hard to beat, the SEC is the best conference, we've fallen a bit but Butch is building it back. These things go in cycles and it takes time.

But we are not UNC or Miss st, those programs couldn't hold UT's jock.

All I'll say is that we had a really good shot at Pearson no matter who the coach was. I talked to him while we were waiting to get advised. When I asked him what about Tennessee did it for him, it was the history, he specifically said, "I mean...it's Tennessee!" and the fact that Justin Hunter came here and they went to nearby high schools. He didn't mention Butch until I asked what he thought of him.

Yeah, until he actually met Dooley.

Yeah, until he actually met Dooley.

lol I'm just sayin'...those were his words. And he was a really cool guy to chat with for a few minutes. Someone brought him up there to Ayres for advising and he sat down to wait and I was like...VQ ought to tell me who that is. So I knew it was Pearson and he started up a convo about this being his first semester.

Anyway, he said the UT/SC game was his first D1 game he'd ever been to and that it blew him away cause people said most of the students were gone for Fall Break...he couldn't tell cause it was so raucous.

He brought up QB play, but didn't have any real info about the QBs, which really shocked me, to be honest. Like other than the fact that Dobbs can be mobile, he was kinda in the dark about who they were and what their skills were.

there was more, but yeah. Definitely a fan of him from that encounter.
