'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

I heard he was looking for a transfer to Rick Vaughn's old stomping grounds. I believe it's called California Penal League.

Hahaha I found it. My bad! It was a tweet that made a joke that DGB should transfer to Colorado where the weed is legal. Forget I said anything about it!

I was just making a joke too. It was from the movie Major League. Not sure it was funny. Oh well, some jokes bomb i guess.

Adam Gorney - VQ

There is a story circulating tonight that can be easily misconstrued that Jackson is down to USC, UCLA and Florida. That is simply not the case.

I just talked to a good source on Jackson, who just got off the phone with Jackson, who was told it's USC, UCLA, Florida, Tennessee and LSU still under consideration.

He is working on his final official visit for Jan. 31. To repeat - Tennessee is still very much a player in Jackson's recruitment.

We're not quite dead yet.

I thought VQ reported that the coaches arrived at 5 o'clock to Jackson's house....?

He's a Trojan in the end, IMO, unless he takes that last OV to UF.

It was a good fight and I applaud Butch and the staff for getting this kid on campus twice and making it this far. We really have no business being in this kid's recruitment. Huge credit to Butch and staff.

They didnt specify time zone IIRC. 5-EST couldve been 3 over there

Huh? We should be a top destination option for everyone, no matter what their rating IMO.

Five-star cornerback Adoree Jackson has already been on official visits to Oklahoma, Florida State, LSU and Tennessee.
Adoree' Jackson
Adoree Jackson will announce two weeks from today on National Signing Day.
Who is his getting his last one?
“No I haven’t made a decision yet,” Jackson told 247Sports Tuesday afternoon at his high school. “It will be the last (weekend) on (January) the 31st. I think I’m going to take my last visit. I don’t know yet. I don’t know what I’m going to do yet. I know I’m gonna wanna take that visit.”
If the Gardena (CA) Serra standout selects to visit Florida he could still unofficially visit both USC and UCLA prior to National Signing Day when he’s set to announce his decision.
“I could because there’s only three schools I haven’t visited yet,” Jackson said. “Them two and Florida. I’m real comfortable with the unofficial with Florida so I don’t know if I’ll take another visit there. But if I do it would just be to hang out and get my comfort level up. If I go to UCLA or USC it would be to see things you don’t see from being there just for a day for practice. Seeing the institutions. They’re pushing hard to try to get that official.”

...

The No. 1 prospect in California broke down his thoughts on each of the in-home visits.

Tennessee - “The message was pretty much the same. The focus was on me and what I can do. Coach (Butch) Jones is a great guy.”

Also, AJ in that 247 interview talked a LOT about USC. Mentioned how his family can really trust their coaches. Sounds consistent with USC emphasizing the family connection via the aunt, IMO.

In the eyes of recruits (due to the Dooley years), we are being held in the same breath as UNC and Miss St.

We have finished 5-7 the last 3 years. Lost to UK and Vandy(x2).... UT football was rock bottom until Butch Jones was hired. We have made significant strides (APR, recruiting, team chemistry, USCe win), however we are still below average.

A guy like Adoree, IMO, is a guy who will court teams like UA, USC, LSU, and FSU. UF is only a finalist because of track. Our track team blows. Our persistence and work ethic is why we have made it this far.

And most kids want to go somewhere where the team is already winning and everything is in place.

I know this will most likely be labeled a "troll post", but I feel like I'm making a truthful post here.

The recruiting classes of those two and UT disagree.
