In no way was I making a comparison between Bruce and Petrino. They are totally different situations. I was just pointing out that the same people saying Pearl wont return to the SEC, said Petrino wouldn't return to Louisville.

The point being, everything people here insist is impossible, isn't.

I know Popeye was smack talking me earlier but when given a choice between morality in their coach and winning fans will pick winning. Louisville fans don't care that Petrino or Pitino had illicit affairs with women---they care about winning. The situations are different the only difference being Bruce lied to the NCAA thereby affecting his chances of coaching at a D1 school. Petrino, as far as anyone knows, never did anything wrong in recruiting or screwing with the NCAA rules. He violated the rules at the University of Arkansas and was fired---he's not going back there just like Pearl won't be back at Tennessee.

What donors do you know or have spoken too? Jimmy Hyams mentioned on the radio that it didn't matter how hard fans begged for Pearl, he wouldn't be coming back to Tennessee due to the fact that the same people who fired Pearl are still in place and that they wouldn't hire him back.
