Did you even read what I wrote? Never once did I say anything about the route taken. I said we need a high energy coach that constantly promotes the program. We currently do not have that.

Tell us your definition of a good coach. Your standards are much different than mine because Pearl has won everywhere he has coached. He also won using different styles based his team's strengths. That is also why Ray Mears had sustained success--he adapted the style of play to his team's strengths.

And how silly of me. Here I thought the goal was to win games, go to the tournament and advance the program. I didn't know there was supposed to be an art form to it as well.

Well ok I see why some are mad this year. You think we won't make the tournament. But do you really think we underachieved the first two years? You do know Bruce left 6 players and sanctions coming. Then we finished above projections both years. We weren't a top 25 team. Bruce didn't leave top 25 NCAA tournament talent.

No one said anything about coaching being an art form. You don't disagree that he's a bad X's and O's coach? Do you remember a half court offense under Bruce because I don't and I'm checking with people here at my office and they don't either. I just want to hear your opinion on Bruce and his offense.

Bruce didn't leave top 25 talent, true. Peterson didn't leave top 40 talent and Pearl still found a way to go dancing.

Lol.. Okay.

His X's were VERY good. His press and in bounds defense were some of the best in the nation year-in and year-out.

His O's weren't the greatest, but it was good enough to earn the team a TON of accolades.

You want to hate the guy, so do it. But don't be ignorant of what he did well here.

He said "if".
It probably won't happen, but consider the possibility of any SEC school hiring Pearl while we stay with a coach who's had some sweet moments here but has still never made the NCAAs.

I honestly am not sure if I fully understand it, because I haven't seen a school hire someone who has one.
If a school hires him before it expires in August, it may just mean the remaining recruiting restrictions on him would be in effect from the hiring until it expires, unless the school shows causes why the restrictions shouldn't follow him to that school. If that's the case, and we hired him, we would probably just take the sanctions for this summer. That would hurt the recruiting class, but it wouldn't keep us from hiring him.
