'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

I know the chances of this happening are like 0.001% but if Adoree commits to us tomorrow, I may not be posting for a few days. I'll probably be in jail.

no way he gives us his announcement on ESPN (i think thats what channel), so i think youre safe

I think this guy wants a solid track program but bottom line is he's a football player. He's gonna make his money in football. He will go to school to play football.

The biggest factor in Adoree's recruitment has been a school's track program. I don't think UT has a good enough track program to land him especially with UF and LSU in the running along with the hometown teams. UF likes their chances particularly with their history of sending long jumpers to the olympics.

He's still going to choose his school on a football basis. Track will just help him improve his speed for football. Dudes the next Deion Sanders not the next Usain Bolt

The kid wants to try and he should have that chance. Like I said when you first started your "what AJ can and can't do" that UF T&F was his first offer in any sport. A program coming of back to back NCAA titles...I'm sure they know what it takes for an athlete to make the Olympics since they develop a few of them. Also if UF is selling him nonsense then UT and LSU are doing the same bc their T&F coaches are going to visits also.

Um nice try again gator boy. LSU and UT are certainly not doing the same thing UF is. UF is trying to convince Adoree that he can get to the olympics in long jump because UF has the olympic teams long jump coach.
LSU and UT are simply saying AJ can run track and play football and he can help both teams.

It's sad to me that you are ethically ok with UF pushing the shot at the olympics if he trains at UF angle. That is such a bunch of BS and its quite unethical to sell something that everyone in the track and football world with any experience knows is not possible. Playing in the NFL and training for the long jump at a world class level are so highly specialized and there are a lot of gifted athletes in the world trying to do the same thing. AJ is a phenominal athlete but no one before him has been able to do this and he is not that special based on his size and current jumping ability to assume he is going to do something no one to date has.

AJ does have ability to be a lottery pick at DB and as a special teams ace. He will make peanuts in T&F even if he is world class 5-10 years from now (his realistic timeframe). If UF cared about AJ's best interests they would not be selling him a bull**** dream of going to the olympics and playing football at the same time. It's that simple man. You gator fans kill me. I see the same delusion and lack of ethics when Urbie was there and UF was doing all sorts of shady but technically legal stuff. Whatever man.

We know that track is a factor but how big is the question. Relationship with staff and players will play a part and some say distance also.

We all guessing atp. Should become more clear after these in-home happen.

He has said every school in his top 6 has told him they can help him along on his dream of making the Olympics.

Which is why we are sending our track coach on the visit tomorrow. Because he's that good

what kills me is you saying what a kid can and can't do. If a kid has his mind made up on doing something then it's noting anyone can really do but allow them to try... Sports, acting, becoming a doctor etc. AJ is already a track star and I'm sure he's been around many more qualified, professional that have given their opinion(s) on his future in T&F. You have an axe to grind about someone else's child. Which I find hilariously sad. IF UF gets him it won't because the sold him and his family on the Olympics.

And to talk about ethics and shady business.. :eek:lol:

Yeah, I don't really get your angle Bing. Sure the kid doesn't have the typical measurables of an Olympic long jumper, but every coach is going to tell him they will help him try to achieve all of his goals. I guarantee our track coach won't go in there and crush his long jump dreams and tell him he is too short to make the Olympics.

We're sending our track coach to tell him to give up his Olympic dream and to focus on football. Because he'll never make his goal, so he might as well giveup...

Don't sell me this politically correct "you can do whatever you want if you put your mind to it bull****.

I'm quite sure most of the guys on this forum would kill to be able to be a NFL player, but 75% of the equation is genetics and the other 25% is work ethic. Don't try and use simple catch phrases that are simply trying to convey to young impressionable children that they can "basically" be anything they want if they try hard enough. Again, not a true statement and its basically bull**** but it's a good thing for parents and adults to say to children so they can pursue a dream. Going to the olympics is a dream and it could possibly be achieved if he gave up football and dedicated himself to long jump for the next 10 years. I still say based on his numbers and size that it's unlikely but he has a shot. Football and the NFL is his meal ticket and he has the ability to achieve that dream. Anyone looking out for his best interests is going to make sure he follows the dream that is realistic and likely and will provide a great future for himself and his family, which a T&F long jumper's salary will most likely not.

It's his goal, not yours, or anyone else's. Anyone looking at his best interest, is going to tell him to focus on his dreams, and do whatever he wants to do...

Hey gator fan, it's amazing you show up in every FL recruit related thread. I can't believe you are still pretending to be a vol fan still, it's very sad.

Butch Jones and several assistant coaches will be there tomorrow for their in-home visits. Tennessee isn't scheduled to be the only school though. But, it's a big day. We will have more info in the morning as the coaches headed out today to all of their places.

247 is a lot like the 'sitcoms'that are on abc at night. something with a girl with braces 'middle' and. a. show. devoted entirely to a fat girl with no social skills. fancy that?

I've known for a minute that we were visiting tomorrow and not this weekend. My guy laughed when I said it'd be this weekend and he said, "that's cute, try Thursday.. but shh." Can't wait to talk to him this weekend and beyond, this is going to be one hell of a race :).
