'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

I am beyond sick of losing to Florida. I was in the stadium as a student the last time we beat them.

You're gettin old Dust. So am I. I just hope my grand kids get to see a win vs Florida (btw, my kids are 18 & 15). That's how long it feels like to me since UT last beat Florida. I may not even believe it if I actually live to see it...

It's not just Cook. It's the ripple effect which may follow. As of right now I'd say UF will miss on Cook, Ermon Lane, Adoree Jackson, JC Jackson, Chris Lammons, Jamal Adams, Lorenzo Featherston, Lorenzo Carter, Travis Rudolph and Jalen Tabor and De'Vante Phillips (2015). At one point or the other all of those players either committed to UF or named UF leader/co-leader. That is going to hurt. Moreover, Muschamp apparently didn't have much of a back up plan for many of these guys....which is illustrated by several of out of state offers given out this week to prospects who didn't even have UF on their radar before now.

Regardless of whether UF turns it around on the field next year, the talent in this class (or potential lack thereof) could determine Muschamp's fate.

You may be on to something...featherston just went to FSU

 freakout much? losing Cook was a blow but guy isnt going to make all those kids not pick UF esp on D. Hard to be mad at Cook and Lane they see 50pt a game at FSU then look at what UF did easy flip. UF will get 2-3 of Adams Lo Jc Feather Holley then Eric L and some RB. A month to NSD just relax.

Honestly don't think its a freak out, just think its the reality of the situation right now. I know that Cook leaving isn't going to cause kids like Adams, Carter or Featherston to head the other direction.....but it definitely has an effect on Adoree, Lane, JC Jackson and Chris Lammons. Also, as of today I'd say Adams = LSU and Lo Carter = UGA. Eric Lauderdale and Jeff Jones (possibly) don't even come close to making up for those misses.

Also, not mad that Cook went to FSU...I can understand that. The way he handled the process was pretty ugly though, and is unfortunately becoming more and more common.

yeah he handled w/o class but thats on Champ for allowing it to play out. Pull offer he doesnt have the spotlight or media traffic to feed the ego. He knew Cook was gone after Vandy game. Not going to blame a kid for being a kid. Get ahead of it as a HC. AJ and Lammons arent close with Cook. Lammon said it was messed up how it went down. Wilson and Lammon come from good homes and great HS programs. If it was up to Ice Harris, Blades and a few other Dade coaches UF wouldnt get 2* kids. UF should stay out of Dade and fix the relationships in Palm Beach County at Dwyer and American.

does roper call the plays or does cut veto them alot? he may have learned that from fulmer. roper should have called more runs late last night. they were gashing that d

Good question. I recall Cut going into a shell early while at UT. Letting other teams get back in the game. Must've been Fulmer cause Roper abandoned the run way too quick.

Adoree' on Tennessee VolNation

"To be honest, when I first got my offer, it was like 'okay it's an SEC school.' I was pumped but I wasn't really thinking about going to Tennessee. But after I got to talk to the coaches and stuff like that I actually started getting interested in the school. Again, it's close to home."

"I knew they're track team was good, but I didn't know there were that good. That was a big thing."

I think this kid plays in the SEC at this point, it's just a matter of where. I also think if UF's class unravels a little more going up to NSD it could be a good thing for us. Honestly I think UT or LSU end up getting this kid. Jones may pull this one out with the in home visit.

I must have missed it over the holiday's...what are the Speedy rumors?

Could be TAM bound. Family wants him at LSU but he might not be listening, rumor is he gave a verbal to TAM on Tuesday. We'll see later today, he is set to announce at the all star game.

GW is going where he wants. Today should be a interesting day. Hootie learned the hard way.

LSU has offered Jackson at WR/RB, CB, PR, and KR. I would think there is immediate opportunity at PR/KR on day one with Beckham and Landry most probably leaving, and maybe some scatback opportunities.

Jackson plays day 1 at any school as kr/pr now cb/wr is a little differnt. No rs for AJ unless he gets injuried. What you hearing on Willis? Lsu poster said he was hearing some UF vibes but we all  and told him stop trolling esp after Cook news.

Not if Beckham and Landry were coming back.

I agree with your other comments as far the other positions, and yes at most schools he could see some time at PR/KR on day 1.

LSU has offered him as WR/RB basically Holidays old stuff, Brazil was slotted for that but has been kicked off the team. I believe USC has not even offered him on D. LSU has said wherever he can play, they will play him.

What you hearing on Willis?
Well, all I can say is he has a good relationship with the staff, comes to campus a lot.

On a side note, Speedy and Willis wanted to play at the same school.

...Why would he randomly choose TAMU? Bad rumor.

There is a lot of smoke on this one, not random. Parents talked to him again last night I guess but, yeah, a real possibility he goes to TAM. Could go either way today.

Not sure it effects Jackson either way, but certainly won't hurt, if he wants to play WR.

Interview with scout:

- Will make decision on signing day. Down to UF, USC, LSU, UT, Oregon, UCLA, Oklahoma. Will cut some schools soon

- When he visited UT the first time, what stood out to him was that UT "felt like home," which is why he wanted to OV. Same feeling when he OV'd

- Likes Coach Martinez. Thinks he is a great "teacher"

- A lot of people recruiting him at the UA game

- Did not state who will get an in home
