'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

No enrollment means the recruitment isn't over.

Very interested to see how many posters would approve of us getting back in this thing.

No way in hell I do

I think we have found some common ground here. I hope CBJ stays away from Lambert. It could possibly set a bad precedent for future recruits if Butch comes off as a pushover by letting a recruit straight up lie to him and immediately allow him to play for him because his previous situation didn't work out.

I'd take him. He handled it wrong. You can't get your feelings hurt if you are a coach. You simply go get the best players. Recruiting is ebb and flow, and there seems to be a bit more time than we thought. He's proven he can be flipped, and maybe Butch would be able to address some of the things that he heard about TN that he didn't like. Maybe he would even take a look at a depth chart.

That said, very little chance Butch goes there. No EE, no dice.

Where's the idiot Auburn douche that was giving everybody crap about questioning whether his grades were up to snuff?

This is auburn, are we really doubting their ability to overcome a tiny little hurdle like grades?

Might be part of why he switched, chances are much better his grades won't hold him back at AU. Someone posted earlier we were one of 6 schools in the whole NCAA that didn't take a special admit last year from r athletics. Our academic people will not bend at all for athletics.

Metatard only shows up when it's beneficial to him. Much like last year, he showed up, got slammed, and disappeared like a fart in the wind.

I don't wish Lambert success...I don't wish him failure...I save my wishes for Vol-related successes...and POWER OVER MY ENEMIES!!

Can someone give me a summary of the situation. I was out of the country the week leading up to his flip to auburn, so I missed about 150 pages.

What are the lies people are discussing, has anything been confirmed?

Last thing I had saw was VQ saying they thought he would stick with UT. Then saying it looks like people weren't as confident morning of.

Did lambert say anything after the commitment? Is there a certain version of what happened where all the hate is coming from, like he told our coaches he was all vol that morning and then flipped?

Or is it just people mad he flipped? I mean we were trying to flip Powell and McClendon, if that's all it is, well that's part of the business.

TIA

He told the coaches he was coming to UT. About 30-60 mins before announcement, he let them know he flipped, making it too late to recruit someone else. Now he likely won't qualify as an EE for Auburn according to Hubbs.

He claimed he flipped because he could get rotated in and out more at Barn, keeping him fresh, and he could "trust" the defensive players at Barn more.
