You are setting yourself up to be pissed off imo with that expectation. Breaking in a whole new OL is going to screw things up. The year after is when I will be expecting some major improvement. We will be lucky to win 6 next year again. Butch is definitely bringin in the studs, but they will still be true Freshmen. If we win 8....Butch will win coach of the year. :good!:
Haha. Nope. I hate Bama to the core. But Auburn's system is not that difficult. You have great athletes running it. If you can disrupt the run with great DL play and make Marshall pass, you can beat them. I am not saying it's easy because it isn't. But it's called strategy and trying to take away the other team's strength. Bama didn't do it all that well, but they did it well enough to win. They had 4 offensive chances to win. Heck, you guys didn't have to throw against us in the 2nd half. Our front 7 couldn't do anything so you didn't have to. Again, it's not difficult (strategy). It's difficult if you don't have the players. JMO.
@schadjoe: Desmond Howard cites "arrogant sense of entitlement" in SEC
Someone's jelly.
Desmond Howard has not been keeping close tabs on college football in the past decade. The SEC has been bringing in the best and most talent, winning national championships year after year, and sending more players onto the NFL than any other conference year after year.
He wants to parade a Big Ten Buckeye team that has played absolutely no one, whole SEC teams face another every week beating the hell out of each other.
I would love to see a football version of SEC-Big Ten matchup in a week of non-conference games, where each team for each conference squares off against a supposedly "equally" matched team.
Make a 16 team playoff and take the politics and the media out of deciding college football championships.
