AJ to the Red Sox on a 1 year 8.25 mil deal, likely pushes Salty to Miami or Minn whoever gives him the 3rd year.

Jim Johnson salary dump to Oak and Ryan Hanigan and Heath Bell to the Rays. Things are def heating up.

Also saw that the Ellsbury market is picking up speed and saw $140 mil as a likely number, Red Sox supposedly balking at going over $100.

A guy that I like Dexter Fowler to the Astros for Brandon Barnes and Jordan Lyles. Wow

That athletics pen though.

Solid indeed.

@Buster_ESPN: Oakland bullpen: Jim Johnson, Luke Gregerson, Ryan Cook, Sean Doolittle, Jerry Blevins, etc. Absolutely stacked.

But at a price hah

@Buster_ESPN: It appears as if OAK has a chance to devote about 25-30 percent of its payroll to its bullpen, if it keeps Gregerson/Johnson.

Interesting if true

@Buster_ESPN: Other teams becoming convinced that Carlos Beltran is going to land with the Royals, on a deal of 3/$48 million.

Beane is obviously trusting in Reddick to either figure it out offensively or he loves his defense so much that he's ok with him being supbar to average at best offensively. Losing Smith and Choice in the OF for the relievers isn't horrible, but Gentry really doesn't bring anything to the table offensively which is the main piece the A's needed to begin with. Evidently there are a handful of teams interested in Anderson, which surprises me due to him being so injury prone. When he's on though, he was a great starter and he's still young. But if Beane doesn't get a power bat for him, all these moves he's made the past couple of days will be for naught. They HAVE to improve offensively.

Maybe I just don't see it, but Cano isn't worth that kind of money. No one playing baseball is in reality, but my point is that there have been more valuable free agents this offseason than him, imo. Maybe, I'm just not drinking from the same koolaid. But if Seattle on some other club wants to waste that money and time than more power to them.
