My question is simple. Why do certain folks on here act like they are insiders? There is no shame in just giving your opinion. I won't mention names but isn't it clear there are 3-4 on this board in particular that aren't insiders and only act like they are?

That is why I enjoy reading Swanson’s posts. He never claims to be an insider, just a guy who connects the dots and has a gut feeling on things. The supposed insiders please just stop, you get the entire board in a panic over a "so called telephone call “that you have no idea happened or not.

Ok, I'm done.. going back to work now. Very glad the young man picked the Vols.

Someone from the Malones definitely called last evening around 8pm, i was told it was Josh. I still believe it was Josh.[/QUOTE]

Don't let'em get to you Skeeter, haters gonna hate.

Congrats man. Make sure you hold onto that picture.

I should have gotten him to sign the shirt. I thought about asking him, but just asked for the pic. My wife asked me afterwards why I didn't and I told her I didn't want to be too much of a bother. She said, "well he had a pen in his left hand, so he must have been signing them inside." I told her I wished I would have. Oh well, at least I got a cool pic with him!

After watching the Josh Malone announcement today, I decided I would go for a walk. Thought to myself man it would be great if I saw Josh Malone out celebrating with his family, so I put my Rise to the Top Tennessee shirt on and a UT hat. Walk out from behind Cracker Barrel and was like no freakin way. He was about to get into the car with his family. They saw me walking towards them and stayed outside the vehicle. They have a very nice family. I asked if him if I could get a pic with him. He said yes and one of his family members took the pic. I congratulated him on his decision and told him Volnation couldn't wait to watch him play next year! What a great day!

That's awesome, sir! Glad you had that experience.

Btw, that pic of you and Josh would make a great avi!

I had a weird dream that JM was a Vol last night, been traveling all day since 4 am to Oklahoma.... just logged on to VN and BOOM! Congrats to Josh and cannot wait to see this classy young man in BIG ORANGE!

“I think Josh is one of the most complete wide receivers in the country for this class,” Simmons said. “Whatever you need in a receiver, he’s pretty much got it. He’s got great size, a frame he’ll be able to continue to add strength and weight to. He’s a perfectionist as far as working on the craft.

“I think he’s already very polished and works hard on his route-running and just the little things. He’s a snatcher. He’s a natural ball-catcher. And he’s been tested and clocked in all kinds of settings and has legitimate, big-time speed.

“With all those characteristics and the kind of season he’s had this year, I think he’s really kind of a home run, as far as just being a complete receiver that can probably come in and really contribute early on.”

“I think this is, to me, Tennessee’s most impressive commitment with regard to just the way they have handled it,” Simmons said. “He was a guy that I think Tennessee was really kind of on the outside looking in with, at one point, and they totally sort of readjusted their strategy, kind of took a step back and just refocused. And it really paid off.

“Over the course of the fall, the way they’ve handled his recruitment, they’ve really kind of been ahead of the curve and first to the party in really everything that they’ve done, every approach that they’ve taken. I think Josh seems to have really developed a comfort level there during the course of the fall. For a class that’s really been put together in a really impressive, strategic kind of way, I think Josh’s recruitment kind of mimics that in a lot of ways.

“I just think Tennessee played things really smart throughout and has kind of made a second-half comeback, so to speak, and I think hit it out of the park.”

“Number one, he wanted to play early,” Rebecca Malone told InsideTennessee. “College is just one step in the journey he has set for himself. His goal is to play professional football. UT offers that. They have a plan for him so he can pursue his other goals.”

“I think (Jones is) doing great things with the program,” Cordell Malone, Josh’s father, said. “I think what sold Josh on him is he had a plan for him. How he was going to use him and how he fit into the program.”

“We think special things are happening over there,” Cordell Malone said.
