My understanding is that when the decision was made close family would know the morning before the announcement. Anyone not family would find out with the rest of us. I guess it could've changed. He is a teenager and I guess he could get excited and tell someone who told someone, but I find it hard to believe the person I talk to wouldn't know a decision was made if other people were finding out. Very hard to believe.

VOLout8, I'm guessing that you are a sibling of his girlfriend. Close?

You may want to check that again. Hunter and Patterson haven't been nearly as productive as Hopkins, who has had a really nice rookie season.

I know it's petty, but both Hunter and Patterson have one more TD than Hopkins. Patterson was not just drafted for his WR skills- he has 2 return TD's. So, I think you can argue about the "prodictivity." Sure, Hopkins has about 400 more yards than both, but I can argue that Patterson has made a very big impact with Minnesota. He averages 34 yards a return and has over 1000 total return yards.

And neither were coached by Azzanni or Butch. Dabo can claim coaching all the Clemson WR in the nfl and the future high draft pick Sammy Watkins.

Who has Azzanni put in the league? Legit question.

Hopkins has had significantly more opporunities to get catches. There isn't an NFL GM in the league that takes Hopkins over CP. Hunter has made more game changing plays than Hopkins with less playing time. I think Hopkins will be a good player, but CP and Hunter will be better ones IMO.

What does this have to do with Malone?

Ha. Well, actually, every single GM in the league took Hopkins over CP if you take draft position into account, but anyway...

I'm not saying one is better than the other. I happen to think CP is a monster and a future star, but what you said wasn't really true and Hopkins is a really nice WR. Hopkins is one of the most productive rookies in the league this year. That's just a fact.

The guy from Wisconsin WILL be in the leage. One of the best route runners I have ever seen.

"Imagine rarely being in the spot light and when we are, we milk it because it could be 10 years before anyone mentions us. But you, you could play in front of 80,000 fans which is much better than 102,000 because you can hear your QB make audibles! Speaking of that QB. You could play with a guy who has yet to spend a single day in the system or collegiate weight room. He is also a blank canvas as he has never even played a practice snap in college. Tennessee has those guys and several of them. Who knows who your QB will be there! Here you know it'll be an inexperienced freshman in a new system and new environment.

Sure Tennessee has produced many WRs for the NFL. But here, you are one of a handful. That's legendary status here at Clemson. Why meet Peyton manning when you can meet Tahj Boyd?!?

When you family comes, you only have to spend 20 minutes for the tour as there isn't much to be proud of. Accolades are boring.

Josh, if you come to Clemson, I will give you one of the old man grungy sweaters I wear on gameday. How about it son?"

Seems legit

Clemson site has a Malone update up. Anything new?

Nothing different than what we posted late last night. Clemson was in last, had a good visit, no commitment was given and now everyone is just waiting.

Lol good point, well played on the GMs. I just don't see Hopkins as the play maker as the other two.

I've been saying this, this guy is going to hurt us when it comes to high profile receivers. He's done nothing at every school he's coached at.

I agree with you there regarding CP. If and when he ever learns how to play WR like a pro, he'll be a star and easily the best WR from that very well represented WR draft class. Insane talent.

These kind of things are getting predictable.

Tonight, an update/rumor will come out that makes it seem like Clemson is the choice. About an hour or two later, another update/rumor will come out that gives everyone hope.

About an hour before the announcement, 1 or 2 people will predict Clemson, making everyone panic leading into the annoucement.

Hey, Volnation! Tomorrow's forecast looks like a 50/50 chance of epic boomage or possibly a full blown nuclear "meltyofaceoff" meltdown. Either way it will be exciting! As always, stay classy, Volnation!

Class? That's Volnation's middle name
